HO HO HO!!!!
Hello my lovelies! 'Tis that ever so merry time of year again – When your resident Angry Midget becomes the UF Friendly Elf!!! That's right, it's the UnFiction SEKRIT SANTA Gift Exchange!

If you wish to participate, there are two ways to join in the fun.
    1 - If you have previously participated then you should be getting an email from Elfster inviting you – just follow the directions {IF you have previous years and did NOT get the email, log into your elfster and make sure your email is up to date}.

    2 - If you have not participated before, pm me on the forums or on twitter, or you can email me at deaddestSPLATaolDOTcom BEFORE DECEMBER 1st! Include your real name as well as your UF screen name, and your email address. I will add you to the Elfster list, at which point you will get an email and then just follow the directions.

It isn't fair to the recipient, and you'd be upset if it was you, so please don't do it to someone else. That said, if something comes up, Talk to me and I can try to make it work out.

Elfster is going to draw names on DECEMBER 1st. You have to have your gifts in the mail by DECEMBER 15th!!!!!

Our spending limit is $25. That's not to say you have to spend $25, or even spend at all. This is really one of those times when it REALLY is the thought that counts! There are creative alternatives that people really love, such as handmade gifts or personalized puzzle trails/ARGy type stuff.


Elfster is very helpful with figuring out what someone wants/needs/likes. You can ask anonymous questions to your giftee such as "coffee or tea" or "favorite color". Those of us who have done this multiple years already have some answers up, and that helps. Also, you can fill out your profile with info, including linking to wishlists {ex. amazon, thinkgeek, etc…}

So… LET THE FUN BEGIN!!!!

Missed you all!!
I'm so happy to be a part of the sekrit Santa.

Whoever got my name got a challenge because I didn't have any awesome or interesting things I wanted! I've moved twice in the past two years - the second time after hurricane Irene a year ago and I just wanted pretty basic stuff.

My giftee had awesome choices and I had great fun choosing gifts.

This has been a fun holiday tradition for me since Addie started it. One year my son had strep throat and we couldn't get to our family gathering because of the possibility of his infecting, and possibly hastening the demise of our elderly relatives. That Christmas morning the only gift I had was a great gift basket celina sent me from Hawaii . The little hula girl ornament from that basket still hangs on our tree every year!

Addie sent me a years membership to MOMA, when I had only asked for a one day pass. I went to MOMA twice a month that year.

And I loved being able to give my friends here gifts I knew they would enjoy!!

So this tradition means a lot to me and I'm so happy to be part of it.

Unfiction will always be my Internet home.

 		Rose was my Sekrit Santa! She got me an AWESOME wreath {so awesome it needs to be linked to http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/e9fc/ }, which came the day before we planned to decorate {talk about great timing!!!} Also, I'm a HUGE Doctor Who fan, and she got me a mini figure DW collection with all the Doctors and their sonic devices!!!! ALSO a solid perfume I've been dying to try {and it smells SOOOO good}

I knew exactly what I wanted to get for my giftee the moment their name was drawn. There is almost a sorta inside joke involved. Can't wait to see if they like it!

 		I received my gift today, well I assume it was since it was addressed to "Varin". There wasn't any message inside hinting at who it was from, so thank you still-Sekrit Santa!

 		Woo! Thank you not-so-secret elf! My Art of Halo 4 book arrived in pristine condition, and I very much plan to enjoy it this weekend when I have time to sit down with it (provided the world doesn't end, of course Smile
I was first thrown off by the Toronto mailing address... but that's just amazon.ca, heh
