First time post by a long time lurker...

Where does Hoody charge his camera?  He lives in an abandoned building.  Also, how does he obtain food?  If he has no stove, he can't cook...  I mean, as a college student, I know how it is to live off of uncooked Spaghetti-Os, but... where does he get money to buy them? Finally, where does he get his clothes cleaned at?  His jacket is always semi-spotless.

Maybe the abandoned shack is only his hideout when he's in "Masky" mode.  I certainly can't imagine him filming without electricity, living without food, and walking around with a certain debonair without a tumble dryer.

He might be:

- Living off savings,
- Stealing money, or
- Using a source similar to Tim and Jay's. (Where do they get their money, I wonder? They can't have jobs and constantly drag themselves across kingdom come at the same time. EDIT: I went through Jay's Twitter and according to this tweet, Tim saved up a bunch of money from his job and then quit.)

I imagine Hoody uses public laundry service for his clothes and charges his camera there as well.

Here's a question: Where did Hoody live during the uneventful three years between Alex giving Jay those tapes in 2006, and Jay finding them in 2009? He probably lived in a house or an apartment. If so, what caused him to start living in an abandoned shack?

Maybe he edits and posts videos from a library?

I'm under the impression that Hoody is exactly like Tim was during his Masky episodes. He's still a (somewhat) normal member of society when he's not in his fugue state.

Since when do Library computers have editing software?

So far this sounds like the best theory, though the whole subject still confuses me.

Thanks Hazman, But really. There is no computer in the hub, and even if he does upload it at the library, They don't have editing software and I dont think you can plug the camera in. But then theres the theroy "He broke into their house/apartment" It appears Tim is on high alert. But with the way Jay is, he probably would let him in, but still. What do you think?

Yeah, I'm in the camp that he has a normal life like Tim, has/had a job and stuff. And he probably has a laptop or something and uploads his videos off that.

If Hoody has a laptop stashed somewhere with his editing software on it, it's really no big miracle for him to jack in to just about anyone's wifi. He has hacked Jay's accounts mutiple times, but he would only need to find an unprotected wifi network. Not too hard.

If TTA is Hoody's masky state, which I suspect he is, then I would like to say now that when Hoody says "YOU ARE A FAILURE" he is referring to Jay. Hoody saw Entry 72 and probably just facepalmed hard. He's mad. He thought Jay would do something and this whole time he's done basically nothing except get slendyraped, drag Jessica into the mess and possibly to her doom, and then team up with Tim (of all people... Tim obviously has teamed up with Hoody in the past, and it seems something came between them, i.e. "He is a LIAR"). Hoody is getting fucked and is about to descend back into cryptic TTA madness realm, and it's partially because he put too much faith in bumbling, hurp derp Jay.

I think that tape Hoody found is Tim's, and pertains to their falling out... This would explain why Hoody didn't need to take it, he knew what was on it, and it explains why he can't help but throw in the "LIAR" text. He's not telling Jay something... Perhaps he does remember what he does as Masky. Perhaps he does know Jessica's fate, but kept it from Jay because he knows that not knowing is what drives his only friend (Jay) to continue helping him.

I got the impression that when Jay started going through the entries he too was being stalked by the operator. (He would tweet about having headaches and forgetting to eat, things like that.) If that's the case then Hoody could have been stalked by the operator for about three years, and then Jay comes along and becomes the "target", freeing up Hoody to (slowly) recover sanity and post videos. It would make sense that Hoody never shows his/her face (even when lucid), as Jay seems to go out of his way to find Alex and that brings the operator back to him. Seeing this happen, Hoody decided to remain totally anonymous.

I like this idea, but I never really liked the idea that you could "rub" The Operator off onto someone else. In addition to stalking people, he haunts places... I don't buy it that he would only stalk one person at a time, and he can be ditched.

Well Alex did give Jay Le Oppykins and became a proxy then Jay half gave it to Tim who had Oppykins till he gaveit to Alex. Ditching is nice . Very Happy

What are the implications for the what Jay and Tim will find if they visit the attic at Alex's old house?
