Recon report from last night. Said he went along the bushes along the fence line but couldn't find anything. Maybe it's outside. Maybe someone got there first, or maybe a homeless vet found it. I think he means to go back in the morning when it's natural light.

Very nice of konamouse and friend to help us out - Thanks, Vets. Using the ruler tool in Google Earth I've marked out a 144m northwest path from the intersection of N Pecos and Rome (see attached). I could not see a fence in the area but perhaps there is new construction under way.

Back of thumb drive. Friend will bring to my house this weekend and I'll open it (he's too paranoid to plug it into his computer and he's not allowed to do that at work whatsoever).

Figured out how to get on the blog and posted the photos in there as well. Starting to read backwards. This is my friend's introduction to ARGs (THANKS!!!! cause this looks cool). We'll try to get caught up this weekend.

Now that real life has given me a break, I finally have some time to play catch up...and holy hell, I've got my work cut out for me..

One: damn, a drop in Vegas? The one time I'm waiting for one and it happens while I'm away..

Two: " il vit une fois, mais meurt mille fois" translates roughly into " he lives one times, but dies a thousand times". Hopefully that will make more sense to me once I get caught up..

I've tried entering the number on the flash drive into the terminal, but I'm thinking I'm missing more information. Anyone else had a chance to do so?

I think it's a one-shot deal with the code on the back of the drive, and it looks like konamouse has already used it to notify the Mechanic.
