Another image posted now as well. Number in there is another SSTV image, but I haven't gotten a clean image out yet. Haven't submitted anything via email yet either.

ETA - coordinates in the Tilicho Lake image:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
28.60832957, 83.86304462

ETA2 - multiple images in this SSTV, still trying to get good ones, third one goes a bit wonky and not sure if there are more than that. Almost looks like a dead drop to me.

ETA3 - NABUYONGO MINUS TILICHO would give us:
-30.08320857, -51.24794662
which puts us here:
https://www.google.com/maps?t=m&q=-30.08320857%2C+-51.24794662&output=classic&dg=opt

And an image taken nearby looks eerily similar to one of the frames.
https://ssl.panoramio.com/photo/85503620

ETA4 - Thinking this is all correct. The Portuguese in the one image (NO CAMINHO) appears to translate to "on the way." Portuguese itself would lend credit to the derived coordinates being in Brazil.

Seems to be "Pier Barra"

Nice work Toasty! Here's the 4th picture from that set. The other ones I have are a little clearer than yours but I think we have enough to go on without them. I will wait until tomorrow to call someone there for a possible pick-up as it's still early morning there (and late night here).

Since that is indeed portuguese, i can totally help there!
Yes, it's 'On the way' but it could be 'On the path'
Maybe it could talk about a specific path.
Thing about Portuguese to English translation, and any translation really, depends on the context, i suggest keeping on mind 'On the path', what with this being a cult related thing, could be some sort of thing like a path you gotta walk or something. But yeah.

EDIT: Btw, what did you use to make the letters show up, sorry, im not really like, good with image transformation but kinda curious about it too!

I have a co-worker whose husband is from Brazil, but no idea if he has family in the area. Guess it can't hurt to ask. And here I thought coordinating a pickup in Las Vegas was going to be the hardest thing to accomplish this week...

I actually work occasionally in Brazil at our facility there. Depending on what needs to be done, I might be able to convince one of my co-workers there to go do it. Where exactly are we talking about? Our facility there is about 2.5 hours from Sao Paulo.

The location is in the city of Porto Alegre, about 200 miles northeast of Uruguay The actual drop is near the Barra Shopping mall in the south-western part of the city.

I'm working down a list of contacts I have there but I don't have phone numbers for them so I'm having to send emails and await responses. So far I've not found any one that will do it but I have a few more to try.

Porto Alegre is a little too far away from where my contacts are - and I don't know them that well to ask them to drive 15 hours Razz

Cross your fingers!

I have found someone that has agreed to retrieve the package. Let's hope it's still there and that he can locate it. Smile

Bad news

So my contact in Porto Alegre reported back in and said there was no package under the pier. He said there were teenagers there smoking pot so maybe that's what was inside the package! I'm not sure what to do next.
