The reference to start at the poles is referring to the North and South Pole..

I thronconquer
I managed to scrape a higher A at maths but then I dropped it faster than a hot potato just out the oven. I have a terrible dislike for the subject now. It has failed me in life over 2 occasions now.Failed me horribly..
Perhaps its not all about the maths though? maybe it has a more literal meaning? Like when it says "If you wish to see close your eyes." It might be suggesting that its not the actual maths we need to look at..

Yes, I think Billy Brown and booba are right in their interpretations of the pages so far.

It is quite possible that all we are meant to 'c' is 'Algebra' and 'Geometry' Though I'm in awe of anyone who can do that math!!

Bartu, you beat me to it! I can agree with your answers for Act 1, however on Act 2, I got that f''(0) = -6.
I used
Code:
second derivate 2sin(x + pi/2) + 4x^2 - 3e^(2x) at x=0
as the input on Alpha if you wanna check it out.
As to how we're supposed to use these answers, I've got nothing so far.

I think we are being too literal with the maths...
I just received some interesting tweets

@mrshom3rsimpson Perhaps another time. The work of the evil one reaches far - the page I sent you is not the exact page you received.
and then

Indeed. It appears they are more powerful than I realised. Fear not - a simple dash has been removed.
So I am uploading the pic of the page exactly as I see it I am now thinking the layout of the page is important also. My page was also folded into 4 sections. was everyone else's pages folded into 4 ?

Been away all day so I'm hoping something will be in the mail, but this series of the puzzle seems to be quite complete. Glad to see something materialize though!
