Hi, all. Just joined and trying to figure this ARG out... but wanted to post a thought.

From Distraction:
Quote:
" il vit une fois, mais meurt mille fois" translates roughly into " he lives one times, but dies a thousand times".

Julius Caesar said something similar in his eponymous play (Act 2 Scene 2), referring to cowards. Not sure how relevant it is, though.

So I'm wondering where the Operative is while the Mathematician is roaming around the Lighthouse and ready to use the Device?

I've only just stumbled across this and have spent the past few hours reading through the whole thread from the start. Gutted I didn't get on board earlier as it looks wonderful.

I'm a four hour drive from Southampton so depending on when that drop happens I *might* be able to help out. I'll keep an eye on the thread.

Nice to have a volunteer at the ready for the Southampton drop. Good to have you with us!

Wait... 4 hours?.. That would be like Liverpool or Norwich. You would be making a quite a road trip of it.

I'm actually in Cornwall but yeah, a fairly hefty journey. I love the idea of hunting down a drop but it would depend on it being a free weekend and me being able to convince my wife it's a fun trip.

If there's anybody nearer then they'd obviously be a better choice; I just wanted to chime in and say I'm at least within road trip radius if it comes to it as nobody else has volunteered for that particular one.

Better get the trip brochures out for the wife as I believe you are the only one signed on for the Southampton drop. I do recall there was an interesting aviation museum there.. had a Short Sandringham you could go inside.

Thanks for the info Greystone. Yes, it was the Solent Sky Museum that had the Sandringham.

Still parsing through this... page 25 and counting! But I noticed on the map there's a location in Dallas. I'm in Dallas, so I can lend a hand to whomever is on point when that day comes.

Hey konamouse,

Did you ever get a chance to check that USB to see if there was any audio file on it?

Ah, great, thanks! (I swear that wasn't there this morning)

I'll see if I can transcribe it, I don't have much else to do tonight.

Edit*

Quote:
June 12, 1943

"I've missed you," she said. "I've missed you."
I woke up from a dream. It was of her. I turned me head to where she slept, but she was gone. Laying where she slept was a folded piece of paper. I ran towards it, but before I could open it, I could feel her eyes on me. I turned around and there she was. And I said to her, "I thought you'd left," and then "I've missed you."
So I asked her, "Missed me? Missed me, what do you mean?" and I asked her where she'd been.
"No where"
I knew she was lying, I could hear it in her voice. So I asked her what was written on the paper. But before she said a word she walked right towards me, grabbed the paper out of my hand and kissed me.
"It's for my journal," she whispered.
I didn't believe her, but I wasn't going to bring it up then.
I hate to say this, but I can't help but feel like she's acting a bit strange. Like she had been, I don't know... gone for much longer then few hours I'd been sleeping. I think she's up to something, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't still trust her.
We left immediately after that moment. She insisted. The small boat was waiting for us. Now, to England.

Fragment 11 info posted by the Mechanic

Recently posted:

"The location of Fragment 11 will be revealed tomorrow, and it appears it's crossover will occur at some time between Nov 16 and Nov 20, but a more specific date will be known as we approach the crossover time.

I am still quite taken aback by the recent developments. The most recent painting discovered, if you were not aware, is the view I see daily on my way down from top of the lighthouse. That alone is disconcerting, and at the same time, as news of more and more uses of what lies beneath this lighthouse become apparent, I grow more confused. Where was I when all of this was happening?"

I'm thinking that the Mechanic doesn't survive in all timelines.
