It's expected. From the novels, they make it pretty clear that Dr Halsey is less than humane in many of the projects she's worked on. A real "bottom line" gal who was concerned more with the results than the costs to get there. She sacrificed dozens of children from the first run of SPARTAN 2.0s.

We should have hated her long before this. However, it is in human nature to minimize the suffering of others. This, however, hits home, because we've all grown to know and love Yasmine, in her various incarnations.

When you win, you're John-117.

When you lose, you're a scared little 14 year old girl who's life is prematurely ended and you're brain ninja'd and turned in to an AI.

 		That said, doesn't Dr. Halsey start to feel remorse? Isn't that why she is now MIA with one of the remaining 2.0s?

Listen again to "faked". Herzog was killed in the crash and the call came AFTER the crash. Both Herzog and Roni were faked. The "spy" was trying to get Rani to go in and do the "triangles-lines-dots" sequence. Fortunately, she had them do the opposite and saved the day!

 		they still could have brain ninja'ed Herzog. We have no idea how long it takes to build an AI from a brain. Or perhaps Herzog did to himself what Halsey did to herself only instead of Halsey-Cortana we have Herzog-Charlie or something.

True, but the fact that Herzog is dead wouldn't kill Charlie. And charlie would have enough of Herzog's knowledge (I mean, who better to confide in than yourself?), motivation, and drive to want to further the mission.

So Charlie could have fabricated the whole thing. Or not. But it's a possibility.

 		I think in the novels we have forgiven Dr. Halsey for her sins against the Spartans because it was the only way to save the human race. Call it a necessary sacrifice. I wonder if we'll learn what happened to the missing Spartan and the good Dr. at the end of the 3rd novel now?

Perhaps...that Spartan (a female) was pregnant??? A Spartan spawned from Spartans?

 		But of course! There is not much else to do, as I am stuck at work, and can barely stand the 2 minute wait between when an axon is enhottenated and theBruce gets it typed out.
