That might make sense-- people who have higher "trust" capacities are more likely to let a creepy pod thing implant itself in them. (What does that say about them, though...?)

I'm sure you can retake the original simulation if you want to get a "high trust" rating. Not sure I'd want to put myself through that whole thing again, but hey :/

I WISH I was special! We all could be candidates. I'd like to think they're baiting us. Maybe they're just narrowing us down.

I got that same email too. Very exciting.

Waiting for the last of lectures, the most interesting one, to be available for watching.

Is everyone here on Twitter? Can we share our twitter names so we can keep tabs on things over there too?

I guess you all know mine @leighyoungart. And @APB_art is with us too.

Did anyone else get a DM on Sunday on Twitter that asked if you smoked? I and APB_art got one on Sunday, before we left to see the lab...and you know the rest from my post.

LeighY - thanks again for posting about your and APB_art's visit to BMC Labs. For those who are on Twitter, I'm @darlinikkisiks. And no, I didn't get a DM about smoking.

Twitter:
I've been thinking about the tweets prior to and what the lab technicians said during LeighY's/APB_art's visit. The first DM, "No thanks. Did you get him a gift? It sounds French. -X" ... Could that have been a script for the interactions? Like when they offered you a cigarette, you were to say "No thanks," and then so on. I'm keeping it on a list of potential clues just in case. Same with the others, e.g. "Is it socially positive?", "I think we live in overstimulated times." and "It requires two persons to open. Half to reveal, half to record to become total." I tried decrypt the last two, but I didn't have any luck with the ciphers I ran. Also, is it significant that the cigarette burn is through the heart, or are they just messing with us?

Also, what do we make of @chromiumbower? It seems like the account is just spitting stuff out to confuse us, but still…

As far as @maxrennlives goes, I'm still digging APB_art's theory that something will happen 11/13 based on the tweet: "Tone of the tapes 11ma1g3ry" Yet a part of me wonders if tone isn't referring to character but to actual sound. Like the way we heard tones in the conference call?…

Udemy:
There's the image at 1:41 with the red outline -- I'm curious about Dr. Grovenor's reply to Jay when he asks about the email addresses for the other scientists. I'm most interested in the part where she writes that the visual slides provide "quite a bit of data that need to be perused in greater detail." It makes me think that there might be something hidden in the image. Maybe we should try destegging? I would have already done this but I'm working from a Mac and not sure about any open source software for my system. I can't help but think that maybe the red outline image is hiding something that we can get to?

The missing video -- Maybe the takeaway from this is it's length, 19:41. Could be a clue, a password for future use?

Section 2C - The Pacemaker -- I made a note of the serial number: 1723182. Could be nothing.

Lastly, LeighY asked about where the PODs would be placed on the body, and Dr. Grovenor's response included an image. To me there was similarity in this article Jay found. I tweeted as much here:https://twitter.com/darlinikkisiks/status/400442486650183680 Like the cigarette hole in the heart, I think this may be a narrative flourish and not so much a clue…

Sorry to raise so many more questions than I answered. There were a few details I didn't want to slip through the cracks as we anticipate the next simulation!

 		RE the "do you smoke" DM: I'm thought they might be testing the people who were in on the conference call. But you were there, so there goes that idea. The cigarette burn could relate to Nikki Brand in Videodrome. If you haven't watched it lately, it is FILLED with possibilities for this game! Total spoiler alert. We watched it and I took sketchbook page full of notes and names.

Twitter: That weird DM I got totally could have been a call and response. But the two lovely ladies at the labs only stayed in character for so long. By the end we had introduced ourselves, I was showing them my DMs from BMC, they searched their desk for more clues and envelopes. But nothing.

Maybe "Minus X" is clue for a future code?

@chromiumbower: Now that's strange.

Max Renn: He has an account on Vine. I think you can only follow him on the mobile app but if you can, why not? He doesn't have many followers right now.

Udemy: I have no idea how to "destegg" and all that stuff. So far, except for the slide from Videodrome (that came into play earlier) everything looks like it belongs, to me anyway. Will keep watching in case something jumps out at me. As for the long black video, she says she forgot to turn the camera off. Could this lead to her forgetting again and accidentally recording something she wouldn't want us to see? Then uploading it by mistake thinking it's part of her course? It IS her first course there, and she's learning how to create courses at Udemy, if the courses SHE's taking are a clue to that.

Side note: I tried following the LOST ARG when that was going on a few years ago. It was HARD! I ended up just following along on the message boards. They hid clues in source codes, within jpegs and videos. You even had to physically go to a street corner and you'd get an Apollo chocolate bar. People were digging SO deep into things I think the creators were panicking and kept hiding things deeper and harder to find. This was before all the social media outlets we have know, like Twitter and Vine and Instagram. So I can only imagine how wide spread this one could be compared to the LOST one.

I think this first phrase is in reference to the scene in Videodrome in which Rena King, a TV show host, is interviewing Max Renn, Nicki Brand and Brian O'Blivion. Max is being grilled by King as she thinks his TV channel is not appropriate for public consumption. Nicki says the overstimulated bit

and "It requires two persons to open. Half to reveal, half to record to become total."

Still Videodrome reference.

In both cases I'm unsure what they mean for our purposes.

Re: @chromiumbower His name: Stringfellow, and not the handle, reference Stereo, one of Cronenberg's first experimental films. Very strange film.

There is one that just brings up a password box. I believe it's the one

I got a High Trust, but I didn't get any indication that I was in the premiere group. And so much for thinking the extra effort Leighy put in with the visit might have generated the premiere group.

Just my opinion, but I don't think the rating we get in the Sim has anything to do with things. Seeing as how you can retake the test over and over, you can skew your answers to get the result you want. If the high trust people are the chosen ones and you know that, you can gear your answers that way.

But that's just my 2¢. Confused

 		Has anyone clicked on the images at the end of Simulation 1? Some provide videos and one just takes you to a password box.
