Brian has been in three entries as well, but his screen time exceeds Seth's by a milestone. Some Marble Hornets followers don't even remember who Seth is.

Brian's actually been in five entries. Entry #7, #12, #51, #54, and #55. Maybe you already knew that, though.

Not a good reason but it may be worth noting.

screencast

Brian's bitstrip avatar on fb wears a yellow hoodie, blue denims and black runners. Who else do we know wears that? Also Brian has come to gmx this year as a marble hornets guest. He may be more available to film now and thus could be playing hoody.

I used to believe Seth was Hoody too for a while for similar reasons to you OP. He was a cameraman, editor and had a better understanding of filmmaking compared to Brian. Because of this I figure he would be hoody because of the camerawork and editing. Seth's reappearance at the start of season 3 made me strongly believe this too.

Brian may have been dragged off in 51, but that gives no suggestion as to if he's dead or not. Same for Jessica, who can be seen breathing in 76, although I don't consider her a prime candidate for hoody.

Ingame evidence for Brian: much like Masky and Hoody have been working together, Brian was the first friend Tim ever had. The two of them disappeared at roughly the same time, and when Jay was given a tip on where to find Brian, he was being filmed by either Masky or Hoody. Also, the physical evidence some have noted.

OOG evidence for Brian: according to TVTropes, Seth's character was added in later. This doesn't mean much, I guess, since there's a solid chance that a lot of plot elements (such as Hoody himself) were added much later. Also, between Brian being at conventions and that image Cyan found, it's looking like the creators are moving us in Brian's direction, unless......

OOG evidence for Seth: Trosephim are trying to deceive us so they can pull off a twist. I don't usually add pictures, so someone else can do M. Night Shyamalan. That's about it.

IG evidence for Seth: he knows how to work with videos, we didn't see him get taken (although, we didn't see Tim get teleported away in Entry 64 either).

Honestly, I'm leaning towards Brian, and always have been, but I'm having doubts now that it's seeming obvious.

I don't think they would bring him to this many conventions and other stuff just to lead us in the wrong direction.

According to every interview I've seen, they aren't huge fans of the BS twist way of doing things so I doubt they'd pull a Shyamalan.

And that pic you found... Suspicious at the very least. I appreciated Brian wearing a Hoody during that interview at GMX too. The question is though, are these subtle hints, or subtle misdirection? My gut says hints or almost inside jokes, but at this point only time will tell.

They're bringing him to conventions because he's their friend. The motivation for bringing him is neither to lead people in the right direction or the wrong direction. They're not exactly going to say to him "Hey Brian, want to come along to GMX with us? We feel like giving clues/red herrings to our viewers."

Bringing him to conventions does have the unintended side effect, however, of implying his character is going to end up being more significant. If he isn't Hoody, then that side effect causes his appearances at conventions to look like red herrings. If he is Hoody though, then a side effect is that the reveal will be more obvious than it would have been otherwise. Which does compound how ridiculously obvious it is already. If other candidates for Hoody's identity had equal screentime to Brian and perhaps if Hoody didn't look so masculine, then I'd say Brian's convention appearances wouldn't have much effect on people's speculations, even if he does end up being Hoody.

So yeah in conclusion, I doubt these OOG clues are intended to even be clues but one can hope Trosephim have taken people's potential interpretations into account and won't give us an obvious-as-heck reveal.

I know you're absolutely right. I don't see bringing Brian to GMX as a direct hint for fans, he is a friend after all. If Sarah, Amy or Seth had a free weekend they might have gone too. But what I'm saying is by noticing these occurrences and the bitstrip thing are very suspect, in particular the guy who said that bringing Brian could suggest his character taking a bigger role in the story. I wouldn't put it past Brian to tease fans but if I had Seth's personal fb his avatar could be dressed the same too, or any any original member of the Marble Hornets student film.

Without sounding like a crazy-over obsessed stalker fan, I think the OOG evidence points to Brian. Trosephim would hardly bring Seth just to throw fans. Cons are OOG after all, if con appearances were considered canon or to bear any direct reference to the story and characters they probably would have brought the actor who will be hoody in the end wearing the costume...but we all can see where that would go wrong Razz

They should bring along somebody dressed as Hoody, counting on a fan unmasking them. That person dressed as Hoody should be antique shop lady.

Or bring Rocky the Dog in a little Hoody costume. Or have the guy in the Hoody wear the Slendy face under the hood, unmasking to find that... Lol either brix=shat or scooby doo double reveal.

Oh my God, Hoody was really....Slenderman, the owner of the abandoned hospital!

Exactly. Ever seen the Slendy vlogs with the Ghostbusters theme overlaid? I now need a vid with the scooby chase song overlaid. Jay going through doors and coming out different ones+chase scenes+masks=scooby... GG.

I pretty much completely believe that Seth is Hoody now. It looks like MH is wrapping up, so I'm starting to think that Hoody isn't going to be unmasked until the final entry. If they could get Seth to make a one-time appearance at the beginning of this season, who's to say they couldn't get him again?

I couldn't see him being unmasked in the final entry, I could see it being the next to last entry or right before the "final battle"
