I'd like to see Jay try and get revenge against the Operator.

I think the point of Jessica's death being left ambiguous is that Jay needs to learn he shouldn't be obsessed over her. A number of times Jay has the chance to back away from the investigation, but he kept going back to Brian's house and his house ended up burned down.

He could have quit in Entry #26 but he chose to go look for Alex during the seven months, and he could have quit before he got Tim back involved and the two of them had to go on the road running for Alex/Hoody/Operator.

Jay never quits, and he always has an excuse. He's looking for Alex, he's looking for Tim, he's looking for Jessica. The truth is Jay is obsessed, he doesn't want to quit. He can't remember his life before the started and he's always stalling. In Entry #69 Tim asks if it feels like they're running away, when they leave the town with Rosswood Park. That's because they are. In Entry #74 Tim says he wants to go to his house to stop Alex, Jay says no, but Tim just wants to end it.

Tim's different, he goes directly at Alex because he wants it to end. Jay's focused on the impossible goal of Jessica because he's obsessed with the case itself. In Entry #78 Jay says he's gonna find Tim, then he's gonna find Alex and end all of this. Jessica is no longer on his radar. Jay realizes he needs to stop obsessing over the case and move on with his life in 78, which as important piece of character development for Jay to have before the series ends.

In conclusion, Jessica's death is left ambiguous so Jay can have that piece of character development. That being said, in Entry #76 Jessica seems dead as shit. In addition it was, in my opinion, a fairly satisfying end for her character arc. And I do believe it was the end.

Well he has A LOT more reasons than Jessica to want to get revenge on both The Operator and Alex and even Tim.

I don't think there is any concrete evidence that suggests she's alive or dead, but I think she's dead.

Hopefully this will be confirmed soon.

Jessica was not shown to be either alive or dead. We saw her lying still with no sign of obvious breathing, so we can't say she's alive. We didn't see anything physically harm her (such as getting shot), and she was intact, so we can't really say she's dead.

The same person who told us "she's out there" while flashing images of Jessica (and Jay himself made the connection at the time, asking if it was Jessica) is the one who threw a hissy fit when Tim didn't show Jay the tape of her being taken. Remember: Hoody said "she's out there" well AFTER he gave the tape to Tim to show to Jay, and may have been operating under the assumption that Jay had seen it. Otherwise, he wouldn't have waited so long to bring it's existence to Jay's attention.

I realize this is going to sound really stupid, but I'm going to trust totheark...... I'm going to be fed to a faceless horror in the hopes that it gets indigestion tonight, aren't I?

Perhaps this is the source of the conflict between Tim and Hoody - Hoody believes her to be alive from the footage, giving him even more reason to seek "the ark" (TO's pocket dimension), while this disturbs Tim and makes him think Hoody mad, because not only does he interpret the tape as her dying but realizes it doesn't matter and that they must operate under the assumption that she is dead so that they may continue their fight against Alex and TO without getting so caught up on a casualty of war.

This seems highly plausible.
