Actually the twitter puzzle was first solved in the twitter thread.
Two different people came up with the same answer in less then 10 minutes of each other in different threads.

You said the top results were seeded by "us" and then proceeded to list other results. All of those results involve the youtube video as well. In fact, the next 4 pages (possibly more, I didn't keep going) are also hits for the youtube video being posted on various websites. That is literally the only thing a google search for "dZ80bIUEMyQ" will return.

EDIT: The point is that while it may be a dead end because MH has nothing to do with that Youtube channel or its existence, the Twitter riddle could have pointing to it as a means of communication. Take it at face value and don't look too deeply into video title or description because no, MH had nothing to do with that. It's still possible the riddle was answering the original tweet in a cryptic fashion.

No one said it HAS to involve a YouTube url. That just so happens to be the only thing a search for the string of characters decoded from the original message brings up.

I think what they are trying to say is that even though the video has nothing to do with marblehornets insofar as them creating it or the like, when creating the code they may have needed a video referencing typing to use for it and randomly found that one.

That is not to say that for sure the second tweet references this. However it is likely, considering the probabilities of the letter sequence decoding directly to a video URL, that it is the answer to the first part of the code which asks "how do hands talk".

Why would they give us a code that links to an unrelated YouTube channel/video. That makes less sense than anything else. Other than that video being, yes, a way hands talk, it's just plain stupid to think THAT's the solution to the puzzle or in anyway connected to it.

One! PLEASE stop fighting. I tend to agree that the typing video is probably a coincidence, but c'mon, let's be civil to each other, yeah?

Two! I've been giving some thought to the whole "Am I the third" thing, and while the theory that by "third" he means "third victim" is interesting, I wonder if he doesn't mean the third persona/alternate consciousness/what-have you. I know the theory that Jay might himself be TTA has more popularity with some than others, and whether Alex and/or Hoodie are split at all (into, presumably, murdery-Alex and harried, remorseful-Alex and Hoody-Hoody and, uh, normalish-Hoody [I guess?], respectively) is debatable, but if one of them is, Jay's alternate would be a third. Way too many ifs in there for my liking, but it's nagging at me.

The other thing I thought of with it is the third person, as in him, her, one, them, etc, but not sure what relevance that would have.

Anyone want to flesh this out/discredit this entirely? Very Happy

They have never used an outside source like that EVER. Why would they start now? The original link to that video was literally posted by one guy that is new to the forum and all he did was just google the garbage you get from trying to decode the second twitter code in base 64. If we're going to start googling the garbage you get from trying to decode something with a cypher that was clearly not used to create it, I can find you hundreds of such garbage text.

Put the second code into any of the cyphers here and you will see what I mean.

 		The video title "Quadrant" led me to believe it might be a four-square cipher using the keywords "didyou" and "eversee". I have no idea what to put into it though. There are no numbers in a four-square cipher so the last code wouldn't work. The only other text is the "Who Am I The Third". So I tried it. This is what I got:

omission of Q:
WH OA MI TH ET HI RD
WC GA KD PF OT ED RV
(potentially reversed):
CW AG DK FP TO DE RV

I and J in the same square:
WH OA MI TH ET HI RD
WC GS LC QF OT ED RV
(potentially reversed):
CW SG CL FQ TO DE VR

EDIT: Decoding it also came out with similar gibberish.

So...nothing really coherent. But it would make sense to use a four-square cipher using those keywords. Here are the ciphers I used (EDIT: I can't figure out how to embed images. Oh well):
