Wait, which twitter codes were confirmed correct and what were their solutions? I don't recall that happening.

Also, this isn't the first time we were given an "inconsistent" TTA code. Remember the Jessica fiasco and how each set of numbers could have been one of two letters? Not saying that means that this new typing code is right, but it wouldn't be unprecedented.

You should catch up on the thread :p

As for the keyboard thing, keyboard ciphers are definite. There is no wiggle room. Everything is consistently moved in the same direction, the same number of spaces.

I would typically agree except:
1. This already isn't a traditional keyboard cypher as this one uses numbers and punctuation
2. We have already been given a TTA code not too long ago in which each section of code had multiple solutions, as this one might

Like I said I'm not sure myself, but this is the first answer anyone has suggested with even some sort of logic behind it so I don't think we should just immediately dismiss it.

The problem is that if we just accept it, we're done. There's nothing left to decode. I would prefer to continue searching for a more consistent solution that makes more sense.

I wanted to specifically acknowledge you posting this because it squicked me out enough to also try to put these two faces together. This honestly makes me very uncomfortable to look at..great work! Shocked

In which case someone should submit it to Troy/Jay for a possible confirmation while we continue to search so that we don't end up on a wild goose chase if we already have the solution.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
On a side note, I've just realized that keyboards are potentially the key to this puzzle.

....I'll go back to my homework now.

I've never even heard of a keyboard cipher, so its possible this has nothing to do with whatever fancy schmancy thing that is and its just Troy doing something with a keyboard.

Troy's not gonna confirm all our codes, I think that was an exception.

There's also Dvorak encoding, which may be relevant.

I checked where the letters (and the numbers as their corresponding alphabet equivalent) would be would be with the default Dvorak layout and where they would be positioned on the normal keyboard and got...

Code:

L
DAT
GMI
YIG?

Only thing I could see is that it's coincidentally a perfect anagram of "Digital Gym." Most likely not what we're looking for. I'll give the Dvorak left-hand layout a try.

edit: left-handed layout was total gibberish

Maybe because what's done is done. They were wrong, but there is no need to rub their faces in it or -expect- a public apology when the brunt of attacks were between two people. Let's all just move on and forget the whole thing happened. Please.

So...I VERY seriously doubt this is the answer. Just a strange coincidence.

I translated the N E1Y IMC 6C9 (with letters substituting the numbers) from Dvorak to Qwerty five times (since it blinks five times) and got S IAE TMY >YT. When put back in its original format:

S
I A E
T M Y
> Y T

"SIT AMY EYT"

Brings tears (of joy) to my eyes seeing people not agree with the i can not help theory and instead of shooting everyone they are looking for other solutions. Smile

But i believe its i can not help anyway. Simple yet complicated to find. And the answer is totally TTA-ish.[/i]

I think the solution is indeed I CAN NOT HELP and I think I found a way that makes it seems less random, by relating the word quadrant, the keyboard, and possibly the flashing of the code. So in math the quadrants on graphs are arranged like this:

Quadrant 1 in upper right, 2 in top left, 3 in bottom left, 4 in bottom right. I think you are supposed to move the letters in the first line of the code up and right, second line up and left, etc, looping around to the beginning of the column you're in if you go off the top or bottom of the keyboard.

This will spell out I CAN NOT HELP if you move each letter two keys, or six, or ten. The code blinks five times, which is sort of a count of ten (on-off-on-off-on-off-on-off-on-off), which, while somewhat of a stretch, may mean you are supposed to move ten keys.
