 		*phew* done...

amazing ending... perfect cliffhanger into either the final chapter on DVD, or the game itself... that chapter was the largest, and it was filled with everything... every emotion... man... not just the the writers, the acting... Shocked

I [SPEC] there's still another update - the Flea is still on the website... there has to be a wrap up for that.

But yeah, I love the twist with the flea... holy cow... and I'm not even going to bother reading the first 22 pages of this thread Razz

 		It still leaves us hanging with what happens to the characters. Do they live? Do they get killed by the covies? How are we to know?

This leaves only one thing left, in my opinion, that bungie can do. Come out with Halo 2: ARG Edition Very Happy

What a ride it has been. I truly hope we have a cameo by at least one of these characters during Halo 2. We shall see

Well, we had an MC cameo in ILB with mention of John117, so tit for tat ILB should have at least that much of a cameo in Halo2.

Did anyone else notice Durga got Jersey's mom into a vault, sent Rani to a bunker, but does not seem to be protecting Jan or her (Yasmine's) family. Does she want them to go out with her? Creepy...

I'm thinking we're gonna be seeing alot of cameos... they wouldn't leave us hangin!

It probably will be something most people won't catch, unless they followed ILB..

The extent of the damage in Earth-based levels of Halo 2 should be enough to determine it well. If in Halo 2 we realize a great deal of Earth is toastificated, we'll know they're all dead.

Like I said, though, characters who survive the Covenant attacks are loose ends which distract people from Halo 2. Given the downer nature of the last few clips, I think its not too hard to assume they don't survive.

Edit: If you'll search, you'll find I called the possibility of a "Random Person X" having a voice of an ILB character. I might just be right about something again. Wink

I think it's just because there's really nothing she can do about everyone else at that moment.

Im thinking they do survive...Melissa/Durga will protect her crew. Im sure of it. If we dont find out ok...but all this character development shouldnt go down the drain. Im thinking Jersey is going into the army. I think well see him. Jan too on her special mission, maybe Master Chief is gonna hitch a ride with them. Who Knows? but i dont think Kamals gonna fare so well.
Oh and for all u people thinking that maybe the Flea was good now u totally got ass :censored:ed lol. Like my teacher always said...the first answer you put is usually right.

While people survive, its who survives is what we're talking about.

For example. Jersey. If we assume that Jersey remains Jersey (and not Random Soldier X With Jersey's Voice That Appears 77 places), the only way he's going to be in-game is if he's important to the plot.

If he's important to the self-contained plot of Halo 2, he'll live through ILB. If he's a character that was part of something that explains why the Covenant found Earth... he won't survive ILB. Or, be Random Soldier X With Jersey's Voice That Appears 77 places.

In short, there's three possible outcomes for every ILB character that survived up until now -

1) Dead

2) In-game in such a way that only ILB-versed people will be able to say "Thats Charactetr X"

3) Full-fledged character, important to the Halo 2 plot.

 		so most of us were right ..the flea was covenant and Standish was responsible for the covenant finding earth.

I know the same people arent (exactly) behind both stories, but damn...everyone has come back from the dead except J-squared. The SP came back TWICE! Why shouldn't our heroes bounce back as well? Maybe in the final chapter - maybe in the game...we just won't know till we've got our hot little hands on the DVDs.

I would also like to say - shame on you all for bringing the Covenant down on us! Now I feel better about being an Axon Slacker. (Just kidding. Please don't punch me.)

Except the Covie are here. Jersey won't be mustering for Basic, and Jan won't be in Covie space. Halo 2 happens now.
