Just realized that in entry 77 there's distortion and Tim leaves Jay without a camera. He could have encountered the Operator and no one would know about it?

The distortion doesn't always mean a direct Operator encounter. Alex, Masky/Tim, Jay, Jessica, and Hoodie have all set off the distortion without TO being around. Usually, it has something to do with the Slendysickness kicking in, or at moments of intense emotional stress of someone who has had an encounter with TO. This was probably reacting to Jay's distress and helplessness of being tied up and left without a camera.

So ostensibly Jay's clothes and paraphernalia and bag get transported along with him -- Tim wasn't naked and had his camera.

So that means that Jay's car keys would probably be in the Slendyverse, right? Meaning that Tim would have to break into Jay's car, still parked at the college, if he wanted to get at what's inside. I'm assuming Jay's been living out of it, or a hotel room, for quite a while (since the apartment burned down?). Meaning that if he had tapes that he didn't want viewers to see, that's what he'd have to do. Right?

Break window in case of MORE TAPES.

If it weren't the case that the current season is the last season, I'd bet my money on this. Season 4 would then be Tim going through Jay's hidden tapes. But now that we are that close to the end, I don't know. May still, because Tim finds that one tape that Jay hid and that will reveal EVERYTHING...

/edited because a sentence was missing.

I'm sure there are things that Jay has hidden from us. Like the bag he put in the secret compartment of his car trunk that we never saw again, unless I'm wrong about that.

Oh god this makes absolute sense! It explains even the bullet casing from #16! That's it, Marble Hornets unraveled!

Laughing There we go, mystery solved!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
(.... Although I think the bullet casing was just a huge foreshadow to the gun Alex now totes around. They probably has to think of something to cover up that plot hole.)

He didn't hide that bag. First, why show us the video of tucking it away if he didn't want us to know about it? Second, it had served its purpose. Jay showed us what was in it (the external hard drive Alex was using to store video from the chest cam), and then put the bag somewhere it wouldn't be in the way. We even see him using it himself in entry #69, I believe. (it could be #64; i just remember it was an entry where he and Tim were exploring together) I assume he tucked it into that little compartment instead of just tossing it in wherever to keep someone from breaking into his car in hopes there was something of value in the bag.

Edit: It was entry #69; I just watched it again.

Might be able to use the xacto knife to dig the bullet out. If it's not too bad, just find something to cover the wound. Won't live forever, though. At least it seems plausible to me, I have little to no knowledge of proper gun shot wound protocol.

Digging the bullet out is a bad idea. He'll want it out eventually, but for now it's plugging the hole that Alex shot in him. Take the bullet out, and Jay will bleed even faster. That goes for any would: leave the object* in until it can be removed safely. A roommate of mine in the past was a lifeguard, and he was trained on how to wrap a knife wound up so that the knife was still in and sticking out of the bandages.

*Assuming the object is still in. If you made the mistake of removing it, don't put it back.

(Created an account just to chime in mainly about the whole being wounded thing.)

Going to preface this with the fact that I am a combat medic in the Army, so gunshot wounds are something of a specialty of mine.

Based off of the location of where Jay was holding, the lack of a blood smear forming while he was sitting against that wall, and just in general the amount of blood that was coming from the wound, I can safely say that as long as Jay gets medical intervention within a few hours, Jay is in no serious danger of bleeding out, but several other medical implications can arise.

I'll start with the location. Jay was holding his upper left quadrant, which means basically where his stomach is. The stomach is a hollow organ, and not a whole lot of blood vessels permeate the tissue. If Alex had shot him on the other side, where the liver is located, then we'd be singing a different song, and I'd be genuinely worried. So with the location, risk of actual bleed out is relatively low compared to other places he was shot.

The lack of a blood smear anywhere but the hand print indicates that there was no exit wound. Those things can be really messy, and you know if one is there just based off of that fact alone.

Now the more serious medical implications are where we can only infer what happens, as we can't observe Jay after he's Operated on. Depending on the type on ammunition Alex used, and the fact that we don't have an exit wound, that hunk of lead could have bounced around causing damage to other organ systems. The abdominal cavity can hold a lot of blood, so he could be suffering from massive internal bleeding that could of course kill him. There's also the off chance that the round entered the bottom portion of his lung cavity, and Jay could be facing a collapsed lung. The thing with where he was holding , the bottom of your ribs actually extend a little bit over what is considered the abdomen. Now Jay potentially has what we tend to call a sucking chest wound, in which the internal pressure of the lung cavity is compromised and the lung cannot maintain itself.

Not to say that the above scenarios are what Trosephim are going for, I personally hold out that Jay is just fine, but being a combat medic, I do tend to see what all potential avenues for injuries can go. Sorry about the wall of text guys. Haha

Yeah... I wouldn't look too into where Jay was holding himself or anything like that.

Gut shots are rather dangerous. The stomach may be hollow, but if any of those acids get into the rest of your system, it could eat you alive.

It would burn maybe, but i doubt the rate of tissue break down could be considered being "eaten alive". When you throw up or have heart burn, you regurgitate stomach acid. It burns a little, but it's not like it eats a hole in your esophagus. Plus, there are tons of people living with stomas, which are surgically made holes in your stomach.

As far as Jay goes, he's more in danger of bleeding out or infection than dying of organ digestion.

You very nearly made me spew cereal all over my computer screen. Don't stick a knife back into the wound it made - very solid life advice from Dacad.

Alex: "Imagine four balls on the edge of a cliff."

Tim: "... I feel like I'm wearing a mask."

Brian: "... stuck in a loop of unhappiness."

Hoody is future Brian holy shit.

Lovely analysis. After reading it, I forced my mother, who has been a nurse for 30+ years, to watch the entry to see what she thought. She agreed that based on the amount of blood, it seems unlikely that Jay will bleed out right away. If he has a collapsed lung or the bullet hit his liver, then that's a different story, but she seems to think that it didn't.

She thinks it hit either his stomach or his intestines, which could lead to sepsis if he doesn't get help, but that he could probably make it at least a day before he hit the point of no return. Apparently we should be rooting for the intestines, since it's harder to repair the stomach as time passes and you can lose part of your intestines and be fine. Also, the stomach acid will cause damage to other organs, but it won't begin a catastrophic internal meltdown.

She said that there was a slight potential for a spinal cord injury that Jay may have exacerbated when he ran away from Alex, but that the chance that happened is small. Most likely, he collapsed because being shot fucking hurts.

So basically, it seems probable that Jay could survive, assuming he gets saved from the Slenderverse within a day or two. Since time seems to be much slower there, I think we have reason to hope. Trosephim pay attention to detail, so I think it's fair to assume that they chose for the bullet to hit Jay where it did for a reason. Even if they didn't plan for it to hit a specific organ, they chose the gut, instead of the heart or head, and left his death up in the air. That seems like a good thing.

The question this really raises for me is why Alex shot Jay in the stomach. Is his aim still just godawful or did he want to make sure the shot wasn't fatal? I'm hoping for the latter. Maybe that means there's still some Alex in there.

On a slightly unrelated note that I'm sure has been mentioned before, I wonder if Alex believes that if he offers TO enough sacrifices, TO will give Amy back to him. Even though he's batshit crazy, I am convinced that he does care about Amy, or he used to, at least. I'm pretty sure he used to carry her picture with him (but am too lazy to go back through the entries to confirm that).

Sorry for wall o' texting ya'll. I just thought another medical opinion would be nice.

Brian also said he was the main character of marble hornets... the main character of the arg is Jay... Brian is future Jay who is also future hoody... who is also Sarah AND TTA. It all makes sense now!

Back on topic, what if hoody was there for the same reason as Tim, to find out what happened with the gunshot/look for Jay? I keep seeing posts like Jodi knew Jay was going to be shot. Is that actually safe to assume?
