Kudos to arthurdent11389 for the fragment retrieval in Los Angeles. Also, nice job posting the documents and photos of the hidden envelope. We are very glad you "overslept" today!

The Mechanic has posted the following response to a question I submitted about the handwritten letter found in LA:
Quote:
Goodness, no. I do not remember such a thing and with all that has been revealed through these fragments, I don't believe I would, even if it was myself that wrote it, in a time that no longer exists. A time that no longer exists…an interesting choice of words from the subconscious.
It is, as you have surmised, my handwriting, so therefore, it was me. And after looking at the image found, it appears that my writing was unfinished. Taken away, perhaps. Or worse.

Along with the Mechanic's posting below, I too wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

Two fragments coming soon. The latest update to the blog says that we will get fragments 12 and 13 at the same time. I wonder which two they will be. The phone message has not changed yet to give us any hints.

Re: Two fragments coming soon. It might be the Copenhagen and Malmo drops... they are only about 25 mi away from each other.

If it is Copenhagen and/or Malmø, I'll be ready...

Expect an Update Today
The QFDA has taken some time to update, but it appears the locations of the following two fragments will be revealed today.
It seems The Operative and the Mathematician are getting closer to the end…the Galatia. Soon we'll find out what happened on that ship, and more importantly, what happened after.

Phone message Here is a recording of the new message.

Hello operative. Your next assignment will take you to Europe where you must cross the strait after retrieving the first to get to the second. Please use caution when navigating this area. Please contact your superior to specify an air drop or amphibious entry into the area.
I'm sure that strait refers to the Öresund strait that separates Denmark and Sweden. The two locations are 30-45 minutes apart depending on exact locations.

That does seem pretty likely - getting very excited now!

And now that I think about it, 'airdrop' could refer to Copenhagen Airport (very close to the Øresund bridge to Sweden), and 'amphibious entry' could refer to the harbour in Malmø.

Update post from the Mechanic - December 16, 1:30AM, GMT danishpatches asked: Should we be concerned that we haven't received an update on the location of the next two fragments?
(The Mechanic's answer) There is no reason to be concerned in regards to that, my friend. The fragments have not crossed over yet. Trust that I will alert you as soon as they do.

Yeah, I asked that before the phone message was updated, as the Mechanic prmoised us an update one day, but a few days passed with no news at all.

Well danish, I guess we can't expect the Mechanic to be that quick anymore... he is over 90 after all. Glad you are standing by, though.
