[UPDATES] Those of you coming back from training, report in! For now I want this to be in General simply because nobody has interacted just yet (EDIT: Turns out I'm a doofus. Somehow I turned EST and PST inside out and backwards. The event won't be starting for another hour! )
I figured it's a good time (what with our emotionally heavy day over with) to throw up a place for the people going to Mel's training seminar to report their findings, performance, pictures, audio recordings, XBL Gamertags... etc.
If it needs to go to Interaction (or maybe Axon Coordination), I certainly don't have a problem with it.[/i]

I don't think it even starts for another 2 hours. I could be wrong.

EDIT: I'm an idiot. The below statement still stands, though.
I'm really just putting up the thread as a place to go so we don't all have to fumble through nineteen threads with "OMG, it was a blast!" as the title.

Here at the sf event, we're still in line in the hallway outside the theatre. Some theatre employee said they'd be handing out dvds in a few minutes.

just talked to weephun and mad cow (who sounded lost...) (: and they said that they really haven't seen any "swag" ... but other than that, they each got 1 dvd and they were sitting down in the theater with screens (multiple) set up in the front... (:

Cool. I read somewhere else that each theater is set up with multiple screens set to display on the big theater screen.
Tell weephun to call back soon! (I know it won't happen once he's absorbed in the fun... )

Well as far as the DVD distribution, that was REALLY depressing. There were about a dozen people in front of me, none of whom had played the game. The ticket people thought it was the hight of hilarity to answer the pass-phrase with "no he didn't" and the first person who got one was pissed off it wasn't a free copy of Halo 2 so he threw a hissy fit and broke the disk.
SUGH.

Wow. What a depressing story. To think all our hard work is paid off by some doofus who goes early to get "something" from "someone", and all he knows is to say "Operator" at the guy... and he gets pissed that it's not Halo 2... early... for FREE.
I'm sorry; maybe Melissa knows me well or something and that's why none of the pickup spots were near me, but if I were standing in that line I would've had a friend hold my spot, walked up to that kid and kicked his ass all over the place, making sure to break something vital in the process.
You have admirable self-control, crewmember. *Pats you on the back and gives you a cookie*

*sigh* Don't you just love people who're only in (anything) for the free stuff?

i kinda wish that the Mods would've broken the illusion just enough to say: "the dvd has nothing to do with halo 2, so if you are some jackass who is expecting a halo demo, don't bother coming."
