"The Tall Man" (Story-based Minecraft/Slender Machinima)
Combining two platforms to make a killer series! Post your thoughts!

I'm sure a forum such as this will appreciate what I'm doing. My name's Cory Crater and I am a Machinima.com director. I've made videos such as Herobrine and Minecraft Horror Story (for any MC fans out there who may have heard of me) and own the channel http://wwww.youtube.com/NewScapePro .

Please take a look at the teaser-

Recently, after watching MarbleHornets, TribleTwelve, EverymanHYBRID; reading SCP articles and loads of Slender mythos on wiki; trying to figure out what my next machinima should be on; I realized a Slender Minecraft Machinima would be the best bet. But I didn't want to do it like those before me. I wanted to bring horror fans, slender fans, Minecraft fans, SCP fans and creepypasta fans a series that they will love. It will be full of references to MH, TT, EMH, SCP, and of course Slender in history. As I make all my films, these will be story driven and voiced by only the best voice actors I have working with me.

I don't know if Realm is going to pick up this series, so if not I need the help of everyone to get this project hype. I'd gladly take advisement from anyone, ideas etc. Tell me what you want to see, I'm trying to make this the best Slender machinima you've ever seen.

The script (thus far) includes:
-References to names in popular slender stories and ARG series.
-The Event
-Optic Nerve
-SCP agents
-The Collective
-The Tulpa Effect
...the list goes on and on...

Daximon, I don't know if he is violating the rules or not, since he isn't posting a series...

However, if I remember correctly, there is a policy against self-promotion and such stuff.

I guess the best course of action is just to wait for a Mod and see.

And, finally, addressing the original post: What you are doing looks like it will be very interesting. Since you are a fan of the verse and seem to know about the Mythos, I wish you good luck in your endeavor.
As a side note, don't call the Slenderman "Slender." It drives some people nuts.

Hey, I love your stuff man (especially what you did with the Fugu Complex), but adding the Collective would be called "gamejacking", along with including several other of these characters and storylines. Its pretending your content is part of an ARG, when actually you have no permission from the creators. Its OK to have an "homage", joke, or possibly even a reference; but its really looked down upon in ARGs, and you're going to tick some people off, and the creators have a 99% chance of excluding your story in their mythos. However, the Slender Man symbol (Circle with X in it), is considered free game, despite it originated in Marble Hornets.

Then again, it is a Minecraft series, so I'm not sure what the rules apply there, because it could be considered "fake" IG (in game).

However, I may have read your post wrong--there's nothing wrong with being INSPIRED by other series (just try to be a bit original--there's a lot of things common in slenderman series that have been done to death)
