You know you can't just say that. Give up the details.

I think there's a MH related dream thread somewhere around here.

There is indeed, and there's already plenty of batshit insane dreams there.

I tried to find it but it hasn't updated in Months. I don't want to get in trouble with the mods for bumping an old thread like that.

You can absolutely bump old threads if the post is relevant. The personal experiences threads were made for that sort of thing.

I've had shit luck doing that, myself. Most get to around Entry 17 and go "Nope! Not doin' it!" One of 'em didn't make it past entry 2.

Same. Which is why I always tell people to just watch the introduction and then start at entry 26, noting that previous entries just showed the operator stalking Alex. Nothing else from season 1 really matters in the grand scheme of things.

Most people stop watching bc the production value in season 1 sucks and things really don't go anywhere.

Sorry, I've been offline all day because I have a high fever and the worst flu I've had in ten years. Now then, all of you guys's friends sound like total pussies. Maybe it's because I'm all hardcore and shit and grew up watching scary movies with my Dad, but ya'll got some pussy ass friends not even makin' it past Entry 2. Fo' sho.

More stuff besides the Operator stalking Alex happens in Season 1 though, the Masky stuff becomes important later.

Heh, I'm going to assume you're joking.

Yeah, like the set up of the overall unsettling tone of the story, introducing the majority of the cast of characters, establishing Jay's behavioral tendencies, explaining why he has to find Alex or is doing any of the other things he's doing, putting everything in the appropriate context so the stuff in season 2 makes even one iota of sense, one might even go so far as to say that the beginning of a story is just as crucial as the middle and end! Laughing

Wait, are you sure they didn't watch because they were scared? Maybe they just thought it was boring at that point or weren't interested. Of course, given my introduction to Marble Hornets, I can't say for sure what it's like for everyone else.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Basically, I'd been aware of Slender Man for a while and decided to check out one of the things that made it popular. I started last spring. The first video I watched was either Entry 67 or 69, and I watched a lot of them out of order, which wasn't a very good idea on my part I'll admit, since it might have ruined a good amount of the scares for me.

I can't even tell if you're trolling or not... Setting the tone, establishing characters (including masky), and setting universe rules (teleportation, moderate time travel, slendy sickness, and electric interference are all real things in this world)

Though I do know what the others are saying. You can always tell if someone is going to like it or not by the "to the house" episodes. If they've been disinterested, or don't understand what's going on by this point the series isn't for them. Marblehornets is definitely not made with a broad audience in mind.
