I think they're still great, I actually think they've always been great. I like the slow pacing, it would lose all realism if loads of things happened every entry, and keeps speculation a big part of it rather than it just explicitly walking you through everything that's going on. As long as your days are not spent checking for the new entry every few minutes then it's fine

I love how much the pacing has improved, I love that they're really making use of having 2 protagonists, I love how a new sense of danger has been injected into the series, but I'm still dissatisfied with The Operator.

Unfortunately, Alex was having none of that. Makes me wonder who's really directing this show. Also welcome back.

Was that a sly reference to Alex directing the original MH in game, or a reference to Joseph's level of involvement with the show on the YouTube channel? Inception status! He's was a director of a show within a show he is directing!

It refers to Alex quickly making sure we went back to having only one living protagonist by killing off Jay before Tim really had a chance to take charge.

Well, I guess you have to shoot a man to put the fear of someone being shot into me. Also, good to be back.

And now I wish I had used the word "shoot" in some kind of director-related pun.

He was doing the blocking from the door and got just the shot he wanted. Wink

Been thinking. A big thing with the quality of the entries is the pacing of the story from one entry to the next. A lot of us have a problem with the pacing because we're watching month to month, but when the DVD comes out the pacing should feel better.

Yup. Got in here late and watched 78 entries in what felt like 2 days. Although the style changed, it's pacing was still good or even better that the first seasons. Now I see how people are getting disappointed about the wait.

DC Comics release one new issue per month per comic series. Some of the issues are longer than the regular ones, while others have tie-ins to other series. I treat MH like a monthly comic book issue.

I want to reiterate that I have always had problems with Marble Hornets's pacing, even when marathonning dozens of entries back-to-back.

Well, one of the things these past few entries have done is take away the false sense of security I had. That is, my habit of thinking "well, it was uploaded, so he's okay". I did this even after knowing TTA sometimes uploads things to Jay's account, and even after the surprise revelation that it was Tim, and not Jay, that uploaded #77. Entry #80 cured me of that for good.

And as for #81, like I said: I know it was necessary, and I fully expected it would be basically a recap of #80 from Tim's perspective. I just don't think it needed to be as long as it was.

I actually love the longer entries, but not if its like 81. 81 was good, but my favorite one is still 72. I thought it was the perfect entry for pacing, time, suspense, quality, and scares.
