Now, again, how exactly does this get anything done about a pretty big problem in regards to one member consistently being an asshole to other members for no good reason?

If he isn't called out, then he doesn't know what he's doing is wrong and doesn't see anything bad about it.

That's called enabling. It's one of my biggest problems with the "Just ignore it" mentality because it never gets anything done about the actual problems. It just shoves them under the rug and lets them happen. Period. It's a defeatist mentality.

I do not agree with baiting him for no reason. That is just poor form. I just also do not agree with "Just ignoring the problem, crossing your fingers and wishing it'd go away while sticking your thumbs in your ears and pretending it isn't there".

Yes, but the responses are the symptoms, not the cause. The problem should be with the cause, not the symptoms. As it stands I'm not seeing anything that actually discourages his behaviour in a direct manner other than the responses to him. This automatically makes the responses not the problem that should be focused on.

Pretending the problem isn't there isn't going to get anything done about it. At this stage, I do think if he screws up again a tempban is warranted. If he doesn't clean up his act, I would request further action. The problems with his posts have been bought up to his face multiple times and he brushes away without any sort of understanding whatsoever, so yes, I feel we are at this stage where it's necessary. But, I'm not a mod, so I don't make decisions about this, I can only request them. It's ultimately up to you how you decide to respond.

I've said my piece, so I'm letting the topic drop for now lest the message get muddled.

You've got a very wrong outlook on this. The bigger problem isn't that he's an asshole or that the forums view him as an asshole, but that people responding to him derails threads. Hell, even talking about him derails threads. There's no reason to respond to a post of his if he's being an asshole because that just leads to more problems.


Random fact about Tim. He went to St. Bernard Prepatory School. That's the school they used for the College IG.

 		I always assumed Tim's ma was dead. When Jay asked why he was put in there and if he asked his mom he said "She was never really around to ask..." sounds all past tense. Plus wouldn't he have asked since he got out, ya know? But that's interpretable.

 		Guys this is for OOG worship of the real Tim. I appreciate that you all love his acting and I'm sure he does, too, but we're here to praise Tim the Man, not necessarily talk about Tim the Character's backstory.
