If there was some way, in text, to convey jealousy, I would use it to its maximum extent.
When I'm obscenely jealous and wish with all my might I could be there with the lucky others, I do this? : -(

I know what you mean. Work jumped in at the last minute and canned my trip. Only 90 minutes away from the Drafthouse and I had to sit at home writing reports...
Hope you all had a great time!

Any giveaways or prizes throughout the evening? Special guests?

There were no special guests other than the Microsoft reps (two, I think) who set up and ran the Halo 2 competitions. They gave away a couple of copies of Halo 1, a few Xbox live memberships, and a voucher for the collector's edition of Halo 2 (but you can't get it until after 11/9).
And Austin ruled on the city competition!
Also I want to mention that the Drafthouse guys made sure that everyone there got a chance to play and kept the event open until around 11:30 to do so. They did a great job!
