Define "popular". We're a subcommunity within an already small fanbase of an obscure show, yet not a day goes by where we don't get a fair number of visitors and we continue to bring in new faces beyond the regular mainstayers. So yeah.
That said, I don't think that our popularity was on anyone's mind except apparently yours- I've never felt that our community is too small, and I don't think anyone else does either. Glad to know we're in your thoughts, though.

First, it's LEDZEPFILM.
Second, I only ask where people are when the Hub is quiet. You may think that the Hub is always like this, but right now we're pretty busy.
Why do you keep complaining about something you barely have a clue about?
And can the thread go back on topic? I don't want Zarggg to lock it.
So stop asking the tard to join us in the Hub. It'd be like asking an incontinent guy to get in the hot tub-- he'd just shit in the water and you'd get covered in it.

I'm not asking Henry to join us. I anticipate people who are actually supportive of the Hub to join us.

Good. The last thing I want is to be enjoying my hot tub, only to have an annoying, incontinent 14 year old like Marble Pravado jump in and shoot hot liquid dookie out his backside and contaminate my precious water.

I like The Hoody Tub without that too.
But anyway, let's get back on topic. So yeah, future Jay is not Hoody.

What amuses me is that some of the people on the "Hoody = Future Jay!" bandwagon are the same as those on the "Jay is dead!" bandwagon. Which makes no sense. Because you really don't have too much future if you're dead. Except maybe as an extra in a Romero movie.

Either that, or they're too into TribeTwelve's cop out strategy, and for some reason love a deus ex machina plot device that typically happens when a writer backs themselves into a corner.

Or maybe we're just analysing the information IG and interpreting the info in different ways and discussing the possible ramifications. But hey, its cool. Let's just derail the thread with discussions about the Hub and why this theory is for pussies.

I felt fine derailing the thread with the hub thing because A) It was funny and B) this theory has been discussed ad nauseam . Nothing else productive is going to be discussed here. It's just going to be the same "There's no real evidence for Hoody being future Jay but if he is it kinda explains some of this stuff and also it would be cool" and the general retaliation of "That would be stupid." In other words, I'm not sure there was much discussion happening in the thread that I really derailed.

There are already threads for the Hub and OT discussion. I never mind an aside or two in a thread, but your opinion that this thread lacks substantive discussion altogether might not be an opinion shared by everyone. And its rude to summarize and dismiss the evidence collected and presented in this thread as though its "hey this would be cool and kind of work". Its a little better than that. -.-

Being dead and being able to go back into the past are mutually exclusive. If you are dead, you're not gonna be doing much time traveling. Or much of anything else. Because you're dead. And honestly, if Jay was gonna time travel, don't you think he would have gone back to when the tapes were hidden in the back of his closet and just stolen them to make sure that his past self never touched them? Wouldn't that make so much more sense than him going back in time to screw with his own head?

I don't think Jay is really dead. And if someone really thinks Jay is future Hoody, then they aren't saying he is dead. Maybe you are misunderstanding someone who said if Jay isn't Hoody, then he's probably dead, but that's not my opinion so I'm not sure where you're getting these "bandwagon" ideas.

For me, personally, this theory is a little out there (no offense to anyone) for Marble Hornets. Hornets is a small-scale story about how the supernatural and it's effect on the main character's lives, time travel just seems to be a little too epic for such a tale. That and it wouldn't really go down too well for me with the naturalistic feel of the series and best regulated to stories more in style with the genre.
I've always thought that The Operator's time manipulation powers have just been there for spooky shennigans and pretty much that. Personally, I really don't think anything else will come out of it.

If time travel is just there for "spooky shenanigans" and isn't any more plot relevant than that, its fuckin lame scooby doo shit.

Finally someone that I can agree with on this. I always thought the time travel was just a small scale thing, and only had to deal with the plot in a small way. MH did have a naturalistic feel to it more than anything else. Time Travel on a large scale seems too out of place for the series. If anything I support the time travel only on a small scale basis.
Large Scale Time Travel = Years/Months
Smal Scale Time Travel = Hours/Days
Although, I'm surprised I haven't seen much discussion on dimension traveling which seems to play a more important role in the series than time travel does.
