Avatar Keeps Disappearing?

I've uploaded two avatars I wanted to use for myself and I made sure they were under specifications (no bigger than 100 px and 20 kB) but they keep on not showing up afterwards on blog posts.

In my profile, all I see are the words 'Current Image'. Can someone help?

Where have you uploaded them to? Perhaps they have rules on that site about hotlinking.

(For others who might not realize, you cannot upload an avatar to Unfiction, and you cannot link to an image file on your desktop; images must be hosted on a website that won't mind their data being loaded by an external domain.)

Whoops! Clearly didn't explain myself clearly. I copy/pasted the links of two websites for the avatars I used is what I meant. Thanks for the advice, will try again.
