Haha, I wasn't going to put it so bluntly, but yes that's basically the joke I was trying to make. I dunno how unfictioners who are theoretically supposed to be good at analysis can just "not get it" so hard, but I'll just chalk it up to denial I guess. I mean, I was just making a sly joke, but... And twisted, it has nothing to do with the success of the album, it was a joke on the name... /facepalm


Meh. I usually never get the joke. :V But I wasn't expecting so many others to not get the joke. Maybe it's just an age thing. Many of the people here are still in their twenties and have barely even heard of the Beatles, if at all.

 		Notice how he says "clearly went over your head," an obvious value judgement regardless of it's truth value, while simultaneously claiming he's "not the one who made the offensive comment." Even while scapegoating his assholishness he slips in a little bit of the said assholishness itself. The intricate art of being a pretentious asshole it beautiful to see in action.

I think they must be younger than 20 if they've "barely even heard of the Beatles". I've never even met someone who has "barely even heard of the Beatles". That's very strange. And I'm in my twenties, so... Yeah. Anyway this is now ridiculously off topic, so let's just not continue this conversation unless we do so in the OT thread.

 		If you're saying that my assessment of your hostility is within it of itself hostile, I would argue I am in the right regardless. My hostility comes from your hostility toward Led, which I think is reasonable. Your hostility comes from Led not getting a joke, which is weak.

Your forced hostility comes from hatred for me. Not a single thing about my post towards led was hostile, he did clearly miss the joke. Also led does not need you to fight his battles for him.

The original reference does not appear to have been intended as rude. Your subsequent comments, are. Please just own your douchebaggery instead of trying to claim it doesn't exist, or attempting to justify it. Things will move along a whole lot smoother if you just own what you are.
