I'm anticipating the "darkroom" with the mattress in it that caused coughing when both Jay and Tim visited it might be more relevant than we know as of yet.

I don't know how y'all can be so emotionally invested in characters you know aren't real people with real problems. I'm invested in the series on an intellectual level, but no I didn't even feel remotely near crying when Jay got shot and taken. He's the biggest derp to ever be a protagonist, lol... I'm not surprised he got pwned.

That said, I'm dying for a new Entry, I really hope its tonight.

Same here, I fear I will be met with disappointment. But they had time to edit every shot except for the last one up until a couple days ago so perhaps my optimistic page refreshing is not ill-founded.

If I could not relate to fictional characters, stories would be boring things.

Not to mention that the cast of Marble Hornets is more relatable than any other story character out there. They all look, feel, and think like any other 20-some year old would in this type of situation. No make-up or special movie star needed to make the series what it is…..

Who knows? Maybe Norman Reedus will take over Marble Hornets and make everyone care less about the actual main characters and more about himself because he's the real star of the show.

It's not a lack of production quality that bothers me, it's a lack of them knowing where to go with things in a planned out fashion

Normally I would say it's just my opinion, but they have admitted in their podcast that writers block is not uncommon

Like... they should always have the next 2 or 3 entries planned out in advance, requiring very few creative adjustments. Dialogue is pretty easy to write for this series since it's mostly reactionary. It just seems like they're writing most of it on the fly and it gives me the feeling that the payoff in the end won't be that great

They obviously can't reveal hoody because whoever it is will have to show up to record with them unmasked in following entries, and if it's seth or brian both of them live far away iirc so it would be hard to get them there to shoot when they themselves have their schedules aligned. So that's a factor that is going to affect their story

I'd rather have longer waits with better content than 2 week waits with entries that reveal nothing, barely move the plot along, and just set things up for return visits to areas they've been to before because they found nothing (or had to run away) the first time around. The overall quality is better than all the other series, it's just that the story in marble hornets is seriously lacking. There is very little revealing dialogue.

At this point I just don't have high hopes that we will get satisfying answers to the things we are expecting, and our expectations are high for those because they keep drawing things out. Hopefully the next entry changes my mind.

Yeah they're easy to relate to, but they're not real and not very realistic either. Realistically, this would never happen, and if it did, no one in their right mind would keep going into dark, abandoned places alone and unarmed after both encountering slenderman and seeing Alex murder someone, then possibly many someones and knowing he has a gun. Its pretty fucking stupid actually. So no. I wasn't emotionally destroyed when Jay got shot and taken. Because that character was a derp who had been pretty much asking for it since season 1, when he didn't quit after getting slender-raped more than once and Masky tackled in an abandoned house. Not to mention, Troy is a great writer and director, but he's not the best actor. He had his moments, but so often, Jay's behavior had me facepalming or shouting at the screen. Like the classic "wow, don't go in the fucking basement, WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!?". I'm surprised it took Alex this long to finally get him, but that says a lot more about Alex's luck, aim and murderous determination than it says anything about Jay.
