Pleased to meet you! I'm curious: if not here, where did you first find this ARG?

Cr0n held an 'agent recruitment event' as part of GameCity, so I signed up then.

It sounds to me that because you didn't tell them the decoding as a fact but as a "something someone said" they are trying to confirm if you can really trust this someone. I didn't mention anyone else, but just told them that it was hex and this is the decoding, so they didn't question anything and were just like "ok, thanks!" Idk, just a thought.

Right! Forgot this started at an event!

Well I did the same with the decoding (I decoded it myself, so there was no one to attribute it to). My "someone" was one who noticed Jean in the newsletter.

I, on the other hand, decided to help Jean Baker and got a more detailed message
Quote:
Agent iandaking!
This is very good work! We are not sure yet what this hidden message means but will investigate the issue further. It seems like this Jean Baker person might be working against the Ministry. It would probably be invaluable to get into direct contact with her - unless MoP has already taken care of her... Let us hope that MOPAIN is not on to her or knows about the secret content of that message...
Excellent work on uncovering who Jean Baker is..!

So after taking a punt and snitching on myself yesterday to crOn

I am sure he will not be too pleased when he hears about this after his return.

Hmmmm
I'm not too sure i like this candyman! I want the groundsman back! lol
He should tell me he is not so pleased for himself Then i shall continue to tell him why he is very wrong! Its clearly a great move! I can justify it all fully
anyways that in mind i replied with this:
Quote:
Yeah... well I would like to hear that from the groundsman when he gets back. I am confident it was the correct thing to do and if he needs me to explain why then i will and can. However you know the old saying.. about the organ grinder and the monkey.. Il wait to hear from the groundsman
Do i want to antagonise this candyman? perhaps

Looks like I'm off the hook:

The identity of the agent you mention checks out.
Stay alert!

Good to hear you have found trustworthy companions. Be careful though.
I cannot comment on the chances of your proposed plan. But before he left the Groundsman said it it is of utmost importance that Jean Baker is found. Dont endanger yourself or your cover too much though.

I asked 'em if contacting Jane Baker via help form is a good idea or not. But it sounds as if we're allowed to get in touch with Jane B. Just dunno how right now

Hey all, I mailed MOPCOR about Jean and got this back:
Quote:
Sorry i am in a meeting all day so excuse my typing...
Oh, Jean Baker wasnt the leader of MOPJUS, no worries! Just a team leader! Apparently her work wasn't as good as it should have been, sadly, so she has been let go. Remember the incident a few weeks ago when some MOPJUS documents were partially corrupted? I dont want to gossip, but...
So no need to worry! This recent hacker is totally unrelated to it and MOPAIN is already on it.
All the best,
Sandy Spencer

I tried Googling for her name and "Ministry of Provenance" or "MoP," but got nothing, so doesn't seem immediately like we're supposed to venture out of the current network of sites.

just some mail i got I asked if there is some chance to delete the trash for good.

Until revently it was indeed possible to delete mails and forms. However at some point MOPAIN requested that we keep all data intact. And I think the girls from IT decided to just disable the delete button. Less work than implementing a proper storage method I guess.

I sent cr0n an update on our current impasse. Let's see if they can be of any guidance...

Something else we can probably do is ask Sandy for the file codes of the Flight 2511 incident, assuming that MoP doesn't know about the HEX code in the message.

Just to clarify
MOPAIN KNOW!
lol Ive told them ( i think kira did too?), they know everything about the hex and the files and the flights
From some of the messages I recieved from sandy and mopain i dont think jean is still alive!. (If shes not dead i would find it a tad unbelievable and a tad inconsistant)
I fail to see a point in us trying in vain to contact jean when shes already been taken care of!
We might as well just all wait for the groundsman to come back and see what he says..
