The first thing I thought of was the deleted Entry #37 on the season 2 DVD, which depicted Jay getting a phone call, presumably, from the Operator. All that could be heard on the other end of the line was a hissing, distort-y noise, as Oppy was probably causing some interference there too.

The concept would be awesome if it was implemented legitimately; I liked their original Entry #37.

This is pretty far fetched, but what if the Operator made Jay go all apeshit so he would wrecklessy go to that Benedict hall place so Alex could easily kill him

And of course when I type that I realize, The Operator was literally 5 feet away from him. Why did Alex have to shoot Jay for The Operator to take Jay away?

I don't think that is too far-fetched. It's either that, or it wanted Jay to kill Tim.

Maybe living people can escape from the Operator's dimension (Tim, back in #65), so the Operator only takes dead/incapacitated people? I don't know. Just speculating.

There is already evidence of it using Jay's voice back in season 1 (for one hell of a scare, I might add!), so maybe they will go this route?

TO could cause wounds though simply by teleporting them to high places like he did to Tim before...

Was Jessica wounded? I don't remember.

If jay is currently alive this could be evidence of him developing a Masky persona

That was incredible. Subtle, terrifying paranoia, inexplicable shifting... it was like EMH, or House of Leaves – everything I love about this series and fandom.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Taking a moment to appreciate the implementation of many different definitions for the word Operator.
1) puppet strings – Jay's apologetic nature turns violent.
2) medical operation – besides the obvious ties to the hospital, he couldn't take Jay here, but could the next day... can he only take the wounded?
3) telephone operator – he redirected Jay's call.

Rosswood is either "soft" and able to be twisted around to suit TO's ends, or there's a pocket dimension of some kind on the other side. Could be why the call didn't go through.

Jay was definitely maky'd out after this, and Hoody damn well knew it when he released him.

I'm not entirely sure if it's been brought up before (I usually stop following threads when they reach page 2000 or so), but there's a parallel here between Tim's mask and Jay's camera. It's a way for them to shelter themselves, gives them something to "hide" behind.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Damn good entry, and this does NOTHING to confirm the Hoody=future Jay crap, so don't even bring that crap up.

You can't really tell that well if she's wounded or not, but she was definitely unconscious. And it kind of looked (to me anyway) that she wasn't breathing.

EDIT: Plus, right before we see Jessica on the ground, the camera shows Alex with the gun.

I my head I keep telling myself that I'm loving the new entries, which I am, and I hope the series doesn't end without all the answers, but...

I was hoping for the closure to start. We got a few answers here (Jay's attitude, Oppy's effect on people, shifting Rosswood [THAT WAS A BIG ONE]) but now it seems as though this whole "picking up where Jay left off" thing is going to make for quite a couple more entries before the conclusion.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
This season is currently 120ish minutes more than season two. I sort of question why Trosephim didn't just start a fourth season, instead of packing this much story and answers and questions into one season.

Calling it now.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Tim will be getting that voice mail in a later entry.

It wasn't very sucessful that time, though, so maybe it has limitations we don't know? Or maybe they are just fitting it to the story they are telling. I'm leaning towards the latter.

She maybe have been shot by Alex in #76, but it is a bit vague. She definitely wasn't moving when she was taken, though.

Wait, isn't the reason why Jay and Tim didn't locate the shack in #64 was that they were simply looking on the wrong side of the tunnel?

So, definitely there's some evidence that the Operator may need the victim to be gravely wounded, dead and/or in a very weak state for him to be able to take them to Slenderland.

I think that's the direction this is going.

Also, don't forget that Jay has filmed himself confronting Hoody. The chances of them being the same person are still low.

Then why do some people still assume it is the same person? e.e
