I follow it daily in hopes of updates, I really think it's starting to get interesting. I can't wait to see/read/hear about what Eric found in Thomas' room, and how we'll continue from there to see if we can find him. Also curious as to what S.H will have to say about the progress.

New entry: http://lifeofsolemnlyscared.blogspot.se/2014/02/entry-7-little-too-much-like-alice.html

Talks about password protection, with the hint 'batteries'. I went back in the entries to see if there was anything we could figure out, but I haven't connected any dots yet.

Also, Eric mentions:

Thomas has some sort of youtube account that triggered when I accidentally clicked a button on his blog.

I have had no luck so far finding this account...anybody else?

maybe it is a fake channel the author/PM made up for use in the story, unless we can find thomas's blog we can not be sure.

EDIT: to answer your question, I have had no luck either.

Channel

http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcwuipA03hWcIQr_JfeFJMw/feed

Currently nothing on it except a message saying:

Quote:
In X days time, I will have another announcement for all of you. Be ready. _______ S.H.

I was under the impression that this wasn't the youtube account he meant since this link isn't accidentally clickable. The link to the S.H youtube account was posted in a regular post, and has to be copied and pasted since it's not a URL-coded link. So I thought he had found another youtube account cleverly hidden on the blog somewhere.

But I've looked and found nothing, also no luck on the 'batteries' hint so far.

Been through the source code of both pages of the blog and that is the only youtube URL I can see...

I reckon the clicking comment was a narrative slipup... Confused

Lotsa typos in entry 7, but I can't make anything out of it. Not uncommon typos either, so it's possibly nothing.

Yeah, that was my final conclusion as well. There are no hidden buttons / youtube links in any source codes I could find.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
So I'm pretty sure it indeed was an OOG mistake. Perhaps he/she/they weren't expecting us to dig so deep just yet Razz

Could also be that Eric did in fact accidentally click a button, but that it isn't on the blog as he thinks but either something bound on the keyboard, or he was clicking around someplace other than the blog as well - which is quite likely.

I agree.

Especially since Eric made the point of listing URLs as one of the things he found when searching the room.

I have commented on the blog post asking if he can post the URLs to allow us to "help with the investigation", as it were.

Hopefully there will be websites to explore/codes to break/flash to decompile/interesting stuff to do.

Unfortunately it seems the writer (OOG) is busy transitioning to college so the story seems to be on a break of undecided length for now. That's really too bad Sad
