I'll have to agree with this. I was very surprised when I learnt about that rule and nowhere have I ever seen it before. The only possible logic I could find (which I still don't think is valid in this case) is that they don't want to go against some kind of "freedom of speech" that they attribute to posts. Meaning, if I've posted in a thread it can't be deleted because my freedom of speech would be nerfed/neglected in a way that's against their policy?

I don't know, that's at least how I tried to make sense of it - but I honestly think it'd just be better to change that policy.

I still don't get why these people (or one person for that matter) aren't being banned. I mean, they have no intention of stopping. I would just like to know why they aren't being banned. Also, what IS the logic behind the whole 'someone commented, we can't delete it' rule? Because someone could easily comment on a different account, like this guy has started to do.

Rant over Razz.

You know, I vaguely remember Zarggg answering a question of why he wasn't taking some action or another, and he said it was because only admins could do it. So it could be that he just doesn't have the power to delete threads once someone's replied to them.

Banning is an admin-only ability, and if I recall correctly, one swung by here once and explained that their reluctance to ban our friend Hermann is due to a fear that a troll as dedicated as him probably has ways around IP bans and banning him would simply provoke him to kick the trolling into overdrive. I don't know if they know for a fact that banning him would be ineffective, but I believe that that concern was their given reasoning. And I don't know enough about such things to really comment on that thinking.

The thread deletion rule, on the other hand, is ridiculous, especially since they can supposedly delete it if only trolls have posted in it, which seems to indicate that it's a personal policy rather than something built into the forum which they cannot work around.

That said, they've claimed that they can delete it if all the posters were just duplicate accounts of the troll, so Hermann's favorite tactic doesn't help here.

My fingers are naturally pink. It's weird tbh, especially because I'm a guy.

my god, the wait is killing me. I've had the MH youtube page open all day with a 5 minute refresh cycle. I really hope it's here within a couple hours.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one who feels that way about the rule. Practically speaking, you just can't depend on every single person in a group of random jagoffs to follow even simple instructions. I myself have been tempted to post in troll threads simply because I know there's not a chance in Hell that it's going to be canned before somebody posts in it. I haven't, mind you, but I've thought about it.

Those nails don't seem unusually pink to me. I mean, there's kind of a bunch of blood under them....

Is the Entry supposed to be out today?

I'm starting to think it won't be until tomorrow. The phrase "cocktease" comes to mind Evil or Very Mad .

^ This. I know it's Unfiction policy, but I don't get why this "every thread with replies can't be deleted" rule can have an exception for troll thread.

because the admins either don't know how to code it in/ have to give mods admin priveleges, or they don't trust the mods (which is dumb)
