Well I'm an Unfiction user so the question of if I'm in hell is basically everyday.

For instance, as Jay says in 16, "It seemed abandoned, but I did hear weird noises." Trigger totheark response, showing he filmed Jay during the previous entry. Brian's house wasn't abandoned, he always lived there, he just went crazy, plus he's also that other crazy guy totheark and thus also Hoody. That's the twist.
...

One other thing about Brian's house. Remember when Jay looked in the closet and it seemed like someone was actually living there - in the closed there was an improvised bed and a bottle of water, although that may be because Masky was living there at that time and he was the one that was making those weird noises. And in the beginning it's possible Masky was totheark. Or it was Brian. One day maybe we'll know but I think that many many things about MH will remain unanswered mysteries.

I'm amazed so many people are writing off Hoody after a one-story fall that was extremely abrupt and took place in a clusterfuck of other abrupt events. It makes it slightly more baffling that only Brian is given a pass.

Well, I didn't vote, & I don't even remember what happened to Brian. It is odd that the specific combination of "Jay, Jessica, & Hoody" seems to be leading, but I can't help but wonder if people might be confused by the poll options. Like, if you think that Brian IS Hoody, which option is that? You don't think that he died in Entry 51, but you do think that he is dead.

Quote:
That's kinda why I think he might be dead though, cause the big argument against Hoody being dead right now that people like to say is that is death is kinda random; it's not epic or dramatic enough, but Marble Hornets really isn't like, bloody gory kind of horror, it's more subtle, so Hoody's random but pretty realistic death kinda fits. And I also mention that cause that's exactly how Jay dies pretty much.

I saw that, but at the risk of being blunt, I thought this was pretty thoroughly shot out of the water the first time that it was said.

Season 1 ends on a big, climactic cliffhanger with "Alex is alive!"

Season 2 ends on a big, climactic confrontation, with the twist that Alex was trying to kill Jay, followed by the ill-fated Operator tackle.

Before that, Amy gets presumably killed off with a big, dramatic chase scene, complete with her jumping out of a window.

Jay's presumed death, which you said was not climactic, was VERY climactic. Tension had been building that Jay was going to do something stupid & get himself in serious trouble for a long time. Tension had been similarly building that Alex would catch them for a long time. Both came to a head in that Entry, & we even had an Operator abduction to round out the "shit is going down" factor.

Also, I don't know about anyone else, but that is NOT my argument. That scene was incredibly dramatic. It was basically a sequence of chase & fight scenes combined with jump cuts & distortions, culminating in Tim attacking Hoody with a pipe, leading directly to his Disney Villain (maybe) Death. My argument, though I haven't yet stated it this way, could be said to be that the only reason people think that Hoody is dead is because it's more dramatic than him simply getting up, dusting himself off, & uploading a passive-aggressive YouTube video 10 minutes later.

The point here is that there is no evidence that Marble Hornets deliberately invokes anticlimaxes. Many of the characters have unclear fates, but this is simply because we know so little about The Operator, not because they can't be seen as typical death scenes.

I vote the spoiler be removed from the subtitle of the thread. Please.

Also "none" should be an option. I don't think any of them are truly dead except Bruce. The Operator can't just be taking everyone when they are already dead.... Where's the creepy torture dimension fun in that?

Horrible thought: What if The Operator's dimension keeps you frozen in time right at the moment before you succumb to your injuries for as long as you are trapped inside of it?

This crossed my mind.

If the slenderverse is some time freezy almost-dead people suspended animation place, why take Bruce, an already dead body?

I may have misspoken when I said that his death was instant. All we really know is that Alex beat his face in with a rock. We don't know how much damage their was to the brain.

But it's probably not true, no.

I don't think you'd survive getting a rock like that dropped on your head four times, but I guess I'm not exactly an expert.

Please fix the grammatical error in the thread's title. It's driving me nuts...

I don't think Jay is dead, but I do think that his role in the series is pretty much over.

Like what Tim said with Jessica, even if isn't dead, he's dead to us. Tim should keep that in mine.

Love this saying for the series. I'll stick to this from now on.

This is probably a general
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
film mistake
, but Jay's blood on his hand and clothes and spilled on the papers is still red. After even a few minutes, blood dries and turns brown.

So if it had enough time to flow red onto the papers, that means it flowed out of him recently. Not that you can't bleed out while dead, but you're probably alive with that much red blood. I'm still guessing Jay is in some kind of Slendy-stasis - the tall guy's not done with him yet.

Jessica has been out of commission for a very long time, so if she is still around, she's also still in stasis or has gone crazy as Squirrel Claire from Lost.

Hoody was hanging from his shoulders, so he was already almost halfway down. Wild guess: he tweaked an ankle when his feet hit, his legs folded fast, he hurt his back, and hit his head to knock him out for a bit. Either he'll be Slendy-napped (in better shape than Jay, Jessica, or Bruce), or he got away. He's Hoody. Or she's Hoody. Oh come on,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Brian does media appearances
so who are we kidding,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
it's gotta be Brian
.
