LAST CALL: Cast your Vote for ARGFest-O-Con IV - Round II

With some helpful suggestions from folks in chat...

It appears that, from the original list, New York City is the clear winner. Many people, however, felt that Chicago and Washington DC should have been on the original list. Soooo.....In the interests of fairness, we're gonna have one more poll, with NYC, Chicago, and DC as the choices.

Vote Today!

I don't see any reason why we couldn't do two Fests - one North American, one European. However, given the recent problems with people getting to Canada for the last one, I don't think there will be many Americans who are able to get to Europe for a gathering. I think you might get some takers, and y'all would probably have fun with the European players all gathered together, so it's definitely worth a try. But don't cancel the American one, please! Smile

What if we plan an out of country, England, argfest for sometime in 2006? That would give some of us poorer, government workers time to save. I would love to go across the pond. Cool

I'm all for a European ARGfest, there is even a thread on it buried somewhere in the News section I think, but I guess we do not have all that many Europeans active here, or am I mistaken? Smile

If it's in New York in June, we can not only sing some wonderful Gershwin tunes together, but also I can put a few people up at my place (if you bring a sleeping bag) and play tour guide, since I won't be working that whole month after the 5th.

The other option is to get a suite at the Plaza or something and have a big ol' honking party. My place is nicer. 2BR, right on the Hudson River, lots of cool musical instruments to bang on.

june is good

New York is the easiest spot. My 2-bedroom apartment is already filled with my family and our stuff so I don't really have room for people to stay. But if I know far enough in advance I can help us get theater tickets cheap and some other cool stuff. I know the bouncers at some clubs that I can get us in...anthrax and bagsbee said they would help make puzzles and trails...

what more do people want?

But Chicago's in the middle! It's the chance for East and West Coasters to unite! It would be fair to everyone!

If you want a nice area with plenty to do and nice areas with easy parking look into Long Island Ny and keep heading East you'll see it get nicer and nicer.
