[OOG] Marble Hornets-related coincidences

Well shit, I can't top that. That's actually pretty damn creepy. All I really got is that Entry #72 kind of coincided with similar events in real life for me. Not the getting attacked by The Operator part as far as I know, just the looking around an empty, echoey house part, as I moved house soon after the entry.

Also one time when I was walking home through a field, there was a guy walking some ways behind me, who seemed to be wearing a suit and whose face I couldn't make out. I reached for my DS to record the spooky situation but he was gone when I looked again. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

My neighbors in my apartment building have a pretty intense sound system that they used to use to blast hip-hop till three in the morning. They also blast some games and other shit. For some reason in the wee hours there will be this feedback that sometimes is accompanied by or precedes something that sounds like audio distortion. When the spookiest entries were much fresher to me and I'd watch 'em with the lights off or even when I was trying to sleep or read and the distortion would kick in... holy shit.

There's also some sort of sound from there that sounds like the thumping and other noises Jay heard coming from Jessica's adjoining hotel room. It sounds exactly like that--even the weird camera-induced silence that that envelops it. There's also something that sounds like crickets. Can't explain that one yet.

My coincidence wasn't necessarily a coincidence at all, but was in fact my own stupid doing.

I used to run a Slenderman series, and as a result I would use a prop Slenderman from time-to-time, whenever I wasn't standing in as him myself.

Towards the end of my production of that series, the prop was altered from time to time, and eventually started to look like Marble Hornets' Operator, long arms and all.

That night I had just finished watching Entry #64, which still to this day features one of the scariest Oppy encounters in my book... and then I went down to film.

I cannot describe to you how loud I screamed, because I had forgotten that the prop was already set up downstairs.

So, less of a coincidence and more of an overall experience.

evanx275h, that's hilarious. and I agree: Entry #64 remains one of the scariest encounters of Marble Hornets. It's probably one of the three best made.

Well, once when I was riding through a parking lot, I saw a white Mustang that looked just like Alex's, and almost wrecked my bike.

Another time I was on foot (luckily), and I saw a guy that looked just like Tim driving a car that looked just like Jay's.

More recently, I had an 'Operator sighting'. I was walking home and in the distance (so my vision was compromised) I saw what looked like TO, but wearing white shoes. Distance and eyeglasses years out of date made it blurry. It was only for a second, and then it was gone before I could work out what I'd actually seen. When I got to the place where 'it' would have been, there was nothing that looked remotely like an abnormally tall, thin humanoid. And it was in broad daylight, so it wasn't just obscured by darkness.

I also had an "Operator Sighting". It was around the middle of December. There was a bunch of snow on the top of a tree in the woods across from my house. The tree was between and behind (sorry if that's a terrible description) two larger trees and combined with the fact that I never wear my glasses, all I could see was a dark mass hiding behind two trees with what appeared to be a white head.

Buckle up kiddies, this is time for my greatest fault.

I was walking home from school one day, I was getting ready to shoot a video for a TT/MH ish feeling video. So I was planning it out in my head, when I see a strange person walking down the ally way. I lived in a shitty town, thought nothing of it. Until he started to follow me. He had quite the strange mask. (Again shitty town, thought it might be a gang member or something). I walk slightly faster, he walks slightly faster. I begin sprinting, into the woods.

While running I dive in the bushes. The guy walks past. I ask him what he was doing in the mask, (dont know why, i had a rock in my hand incase he tried anything i guess)
The guy takes off his mask. It was my friend who played the evil person. It was my mask.

The combination of the reflection of my kitchen light on the sunroom window, the deck out there, & the trees beyond that make it easily look like a man in a dark suit with a bloated, white faceless head is coming up the stairs to get me. Obviously, "That thing kinda looks like Slenderman" happens quite a bit, but that is the most consistent one. I see it nearly every night. But I'm not paranoid yet.
