So really, even if the mods agree with you and lock the thread, you were still acting like an asshole for no reason if you posted the sentiment in the topic.

Not even a big deal if the thread is spam or not. It's that it's just one big "LOL MARBLEHORNETS U MAD" when he's made a very valid point, but is getting laughed at for it just because it's him and apparently it's cool to hate on him for no reason, when a thread of his more relevant than this was bashed on for the same reasons.

I don't even remotely take this place nor the series as serious as you're saying I am, and I could care less if this thread exists or not, but when everyone continuously feels the need to single out people to make them the subject of collective ridicule when there's no reason to, then I'm going to call it out.

Except he didn't make a valid point. As I said, the relevance and worth of a topic is decided by the moderators, who we are free to contact via PM at any time. His opinion on the topic's worth is subjective, and it isn't on him to make the decision, so his assessment is worth exactly the same as that of any other member posting in this thread. If one is going to derail the topic and condescend to those who post in it, but doesn't expect people to respond in kind, then one has not thought things through very well.

I'm not gonna argue the point of who insulted who first on the forums overall, because I have no idea. It just bugs me when people go "This topic is spam and you shouldn't post in it" when the solution is as simple as "well then tell a moderator and ignore it". It's tantamount to responding to a fake entry thread, no matter what you say or how you say it, you're working against your objective.

EDIT: I should also point out that even though you act like everyone is ganging up on Marble Hornets the Guy because of what he said, people were actually very patient and good-natured about his dissenting opinion until the fourth time he posted it.

I mean the post isn't even as bad as a Fake Entry Thread. This thread as about as much relevance as the "Marble Hornets Themed Dreams" thread. Plus it's not promoting false knowledge about the series in any way.

Does it promote our knowledge on the series? No. Does it allow us to have fun with it? Yes. Did any of us know that MarbleHornets (The User) would get PO'ed? Maybe half of us saw that coming.

Honestly the entire thing didn't start out as a "fight" because it was just saying how the guy went to Red Robin with his brother and thought it was a good idea to combine the two things together. There was nothing that indicated the user MarbleHornets was purposely targeted until he started bickering.

Hey guys, it's ok. Sometimes we have to talk about these things because we are a community, almost like a family. Families need to talk about their problems together and work it out. We may not always see eye to eye, but in the end, we still love each other. So with that I say we move forward and continue to peruse this great cause. IN THE NAME OF FATHER TROY, RED ROBIN WILL BE MARBLE HORNETIZED!
