I agree. I actually think its more interesting than star trek, and if episode 3 sucks, then also startwars.

Somehow i think that it would be hard for MC to NOT run into a group of 13 super warriors running around killing covies on earth... not to mention that Durga would definetly want to help MC do his job, as he's the bestest soldier ever... as far as Kumal and Jersey, I would be really suprised to see them...
and if they say theres no ILB eggs, that just means that nothing in there was put specifically to make a referance to ILB, that doesn't rule out that ILB ended up giving backstory to some upcoming side characters in H2.

AlexofMaceidon,
I understand your desire for that to be true, but it's not. There is no direct connection in Halo2 to charactors in ILB. At all.

It's amazing how I changed the way I see Halo, because of ilovebees. I have Halo for quite some time and I always enjoyed it as a simple game that I would play just to relax, when I was tired of mmorpg's.
Gameplay and graphics were way more important than the story. This whole thing changed everything and now I'll enjoy halo2 single player way more! Great story! Better than most movies I watch this year.

Re: [Halo 2][POSSIBLE Spoilers] ILB A Massive Part Of Halo 2
I'm almost 99.9% sure that ILB doesnt play a huge role in Halo 2. The biggest reason I believe this is because this ARG was most likely made after the story of Halo 2 was nearly completed. And it would have delayed the game a little longer if they decided to include them.
I read an interview with Pete Parsons @ Bungie. He stated that they had the Halo Universe history written out for hundreds of years even before they finished Halo 1, so who is to say that they did not have all of the ILB timeline events scripted ahead of time and MS just had them adapt it to the ARG for cheap advertisement???
Master Chief has a 'sidekick' in the game that is female, dresses in some of the worst ways given some of the situations they get in together, and is a Spartan
In First Strike, Dr. Halsley takes off in a civilian ship with a wounded Spartan 2.0, Kelly I think. Who is to say that this Spartan is not the one who is Master Chief's sidekick. Kelly is one of Master Chief's favorite team members

We had confirmation from Chuck last night: no ILB in Halo 2.

I'm not trying to be a fanboy or anything... but the above statement is a clever way to put it. I'm sure there won't be any reference to I Love Bees in the game... but that doesn't mean that characters/events featured in ILB's won't be featured in the Game.
For instance, they made reference to attending a ceremony for John 117. Who can say this ceremony is not a cutscene in the game? Who can say that Durga doesn't show her face somewhere in the game? Or Jan? Or Kevin Morales and his stashes of weapons? At the very least, they'll give some explanation of how the Covenant found earth, and we already know what it is.
So there can be items in the game that we would know about and recognize because of ILB's, without having to mention ILB's at all.

sanctusmortis,
i saw the video you were refering to. and i do not beilve that the woman on the ship is halsey.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
i read somewhere that this is captain keye's daughter miranda keyes.
as for ilb references in halo2. im not sure about seeing jan or anyone but i know one thing for sure. when we get to old mombasa were gonna climb up a couple flights of stairs. reach the rooftop. and then well get a cache of weapons. mabey grenades. and a sniper rifle would be nice. the top of a roof would be a nice vantage point. because i remember reading somewhere that after or before the new mombasa level. MC travels into the older beat-down part of mombasa.

I dont know if any other characters will be in game, but Jan will not. Nor will any f the other 1.1s. According to the latest Halo 2 review by Official Xbox Magazine, they said, "that they would quash any rumors regarding fighting alongside fellow Spartans."
So I dont think they would lie. I dont think they will be in it which is a little disappointing. I think htat some people still view the story of Halo2 and ILB different. In my opinion, when the story directly from ILB ends, the whole story will end. When it shouldnt. People shouldnt be saying ILB is ending because ILB is Halo. It would bridge the gap if they included even a glimpse of a character. It would let everyone know that as long as Halo was there, ILB was there.

If we use the linked-but-unknown-how belief, the Paranthalo Universe is far greater than the SW/ST universes.

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT (well, not really, but in case you're black-holing yourself from Halo 2, don't read on).
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but so far I have witnessed absolutely no ILB material, characters, or even references in Halo 2.
I live in the midwest, and a friend of mine managed to get ahold of one of the copies of the game that broke the street date (I'm being a good little boy and waiting...and I kinda paid my preorder in full at a store that isn't breaking street...curse my foresight!). I watched him play the first four levels of the game, and there was no mention of *anything* ILB related. They didn't even mention how the covenant found earth (they just show up at the beginning of the first level [not exactly a spoiler]), or the artifact and the emp spike, etc. I'm heading to his house tonight for more Halo 2 action, and if I find any ILB material I'll be sure to let you guys know, but I will only confirm or deny that there is material. I will not give out details, spoilers. All you'll get out of me is a yes or no that there is or isn't ILB material in the game.
Maybe later in the game they will, but as of yet, I haven't seen a single shred or mention of anything ILB related.
And no, I will not answer ANY questions about the game. Bungie was right to keep the SP campaign a secret, as there are some pretty major surprises in store (and I've only seen the first 4 levels so far). I don't want to spoil it for anyone, and quite frankly, I don't want to get a nasty letter/subpoena from Microsoft either.
[Edit to correct a horribly stupid spelling mistake]
