It might not be a straight binary-ascii conversion. comparing the two binary strings we have:
Code:
-------------------011101-----------------------------
--------------------------010111--------------------------
You'll notice the second line has four more characters. Relevant? I don't know. But the first line is equal to 29 in decimal. The second line is equal to 23...
I'm not sure how this helps, if at all.

Also posted here about the first binary equaling nbr. 29 but am now hoping we'll get 6bits with each Mission doc to complete a 24 or 48 (my wish) binary string.
So was it George who "cleaned up" the source code as cabbage, library & Mozart are gone? Am curious about the "Lunar team meeting" that occurred while I slept.

It is just Ascii:
010111 end of transmission
011101 Group Separator

All of the hidden text is gone too. I think we're going to have to start thinking seriously about which information we share with which people. We don't want to help out the bad guys (I'm not sure who among the lunar team can really be trusted). I do feel kinda sorry for Nick though. I just don't trust anyone.

Am not really trusting Liam 'tho admit imo he's quite witty. Hi AUZ, great idea even if the WIKI ASCII control code chart shows those as both having 7bits. (001 0111)

WILD SPECULATION: I don't trust this new found happiness within the team. With the removal of the codes from the website and the "everything's alright now" attitude, I wonder if the team has been replaced by alternate-universe doppelgangers. I almost suspect this is what originally happened to George (Nick said something along the lines of "What's gotten into you lately".)
It will be interesting to see how Nick responds to this new turn of events.

Hey you all know how we're feeling sorry for Nick and now the information has gone. In order to get Nick's trust (and also because I felt sorry for him) I felt that I should at least mention some of the information (not about his adoptive parents though). This was his reply.

hi adam,
ahm i guess thank you? However, i couldn't find any "cabbage" site or any errors on our homepage. it was probably just a bad prank.

Starting to worry that maybe Nick was the one who cleaned this up, since I did email him. Also, I didn't mention any homepage errors in my e-mail. Confused :L
EDIT: New e-mail from Lunar labs.

Seems the PM's took your suggestion. I find it amusing two addresses emailing each other on the same server.
Could be some kind of formatting error. I noticed last time they used Windings from Word for the last message. Maybe the program isn't translating that properly. My mobile won't even read anything but the e's.

The same for me. I'm on a computer by the way. (Also, I got symbols on the last e-mail) I think it might be formatting errors, or maybe intentional?

Yeah, i'm on my desktop also. It was just last time my mobile automatically translated the symbols to their word counterparts. This makes me think that they just used another strange symbol based language and the email can't really handle it or something. If it's intentional then the only thing we have going is the 2 e's and the ".".
The only other thing it reminds me is invalid binary or other such things. Sometimes a translator will spit out those squares.

Looking at the email source, it is encoded with base64, which is odd, as the other emails were straight ascii. I've tried decoding the base64 source with a bunch of different charsets but nothing jumps out.

OK it's apparently encoded in the Shaw Alphabet. You can download a shavian font here . Install that and refresh your browser and it should render. Just in case I'll get a screen grab if you still can't see it. The challenge now is working out how to read the damn thing.
This may help: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shavian
EDIT: Screenshot attached for those without the font.
And the translation is:

Yeah. I found out that by actually putting it through a binary decoder. I've been looking for a font so thank you.
I'm currently translating. Found a wonderful document for it.
Edit: I'm using a comphrensive pdf from some site. It has all the letters and that.

Which one are you using? I found the wikipedia one to be pretty good. (translation above)
Oh and another thing. I sent nick an email saying "Well done for getting George to come round to your way of thinking" - and this is the response I got:
Nick Bristol wrote:
hi karl!
well the meeting last night was long, tough, debilitating, but in the end we found each other and i do understand George's point now. Liam was also really nice so i guess it was just me. well i should get back to work! i have a lot to catch up!!
Now, call me suspicious, but I find it highly dubious that Nick could go from angry ball of rage to happy pally acceptance in a single meeting. There's something fishy going on.

I'm using a comprehensive pdf from some site that I found. It includes all the letters and some sample text.
Good job on the decode! I was slowly getting there. Haha
