I notice that 3479 & 3494 look very similar.

All of them appear to be combinations of < (similar to C) and |> (similar to D), just rotated and aligned different ways.

Those almost look like Bind Runes using the newer Futhark (runic alphabet)

Let me see if I can pull some simliarities.

Edited to add :

The ones that are a triangle with an X COULD be a combination of Gebo - which means gifts, sacrifice, or balance and Thurisaz - which means destruction or change OR Wunjo- which means joy, harmony, prosperity.

Bindrunes of these could mean a sacrifice attempting to STOP change?

I'm gonna call a friend who knows runes far better than I do.

Hi, new player here.

I've done a bit of research on Futhark Runes and not all of them look like anything from Futhark, though the two interlocking triangles look EXTREMELY familiar (I can't remember why though).

Ah! Found something!

The two interlocked triangles that were part of the symbol list resemble Dr. John Dee's Holy Table, which was used for Enochian workings. There is a table in the middle of the triangles that are made out of Enochian symbols.

So far
3478 is repeated 2x (78 & 90)
3479 is repeated 4x (79, 85, 87, 94)
3482 is repeated 2x (88 & 93)


It would appear these probably represent letters not words. But who really knows!

Not to be a detractor of the message theory, but there may not be a message in the symbols at all. It seems strange to leave a message encoded in animals left on people's porches, especially when there are far more convienant ways to do it.
Although I don't have a solution myself (hell, I haven't gotten as far as some of you) a few things stood out to me. One of the mutilations was a rabbit whose heart had been ripped out, as opposed to the clean cuts of the other animals. Few of the mutilations were multiples, i.e. there aren't multiple rabbits with their organs removed. My first thought was a Frankenstein-esque creation, but then I realized there wouldn't be much use for a coyote/raccon creature.
Also, when I looked at the symbols, I noticed that we essentially had 7 numbers, if we count the number of each symbol. A phone number, perhaps? (Although didn't I just say there may not be a message at all?)
