It's all good. Now we hope Max can get us that card and bring it home.

Last time I checked Stone Henge isn't a city, so it will only be a clue to where the card is.

Seadevil4, the Pergamum post points out that Max will be receiving the card:
Pergamum post wrote:
Have Max see Dr. Parker Abbott in Oxford and sign up for a bus tour to Stonehenge. A woman on the bus (no need to know her name) will find you and give you the card. Bring the card back to the United States and give it to Lexi. After that you will receive your next set of instructions.

So much for cities, even by a considerable stretch of the imagination would I never define Stonehenge as a city especially having lived in one of the smallest cities of the world (Rochester, Kent, UK - well technically it lost its city status in 2006 I think when it forgot to reapply)
ETA: I did get a email from Winter when I asked the question about cities:

I'm guessing we'll get another clue.

location identity
ETA: Comments on the blog are closed and reckon I've monopolized Winter enough today so anyone feel free to tweet and/or email this info to her. G'nite y'all!

Great job, amandel. I have emailed Winter the info. In addition, there is a new footer on the G.A.T.E. page (you think the G.A.T.E. folks might start getting suspicious at some point?)

It seems, Seadevil4, that you were correct in questioning Stonehenge. Here is Winter's response:
Winter wrote:
Thanks for letting me know! I'll be curious to find out what this is all about, since G.A.T.E. originally indicated that the four cards would come from four major cities around the world near four major landmarks. The Eiffel Tower seems a likely location for the first card. Wonder what this Page of Swords is all about? Regardless, I will send Max!
Curiously, the Page of Swords description page (http://www.learntarot.com/spg.htm) says:
Quote:
The Page of Swords is a messenger bringing you challenges. He suggests that an opportunity for growth may come your way in the guise of a problem or dilemma. These challenges may not be your favorites. In fact, you probably will want to say "Thanks...but no thanks."
The Page of Swords asks you to embrace these difficult situations. Think of them as trials designed to test your mettle. If you accept and prevail, you will become stronger and more resilient. In meeting these challenges, you are encouraged to use the tools of the Swords suit - honest, reason, integrity and fortitude.

What a pickle! Inspected the element ID of that jumble. It's "affine" which may have less to do with an affine cipher & more with the french word "affiné" (refined).
Since we're off to the Eiffel Tower affiné is from the verb affiner meaning to polish, reduce in thickness, rid of impurities. Yup, I <3 my french cookbooks & reckon that's what we're somehow meant to do with the new G.A.T.E. letter string. And Yikes that there are 4 zzzz's in it.

Interesting and really cool, amandel. I was messing around with the letters (while trying to get "real" work done) and I removed the repeated letters to bring it down to "aolcofolmoptromlayozlo". I then removed any extra occurrence of every letter to get "aolcfmptryz". It doesn't seem like much, but it kind of looks like "alcatraz".
Of course that's sort of a stretch...

Wikipedia has a different slant on the Page of Swords one which I used in my own design on the Card Keepers site..
Quote:
A surefooted person who succeeds without flash. One who does not second guess decisions. Decisive action and control of oneself. The use of reason or eloquent speech to penetrate the veil of confusion and cut to the heart of the matter. She is also known to have a great interest in spying, snooping about, and learning the secrets of others.
Inverted: Fear causes plans to crumble. A person who is timid and cowardly. One who allows the opinions of others to interfere with their own ambition. She also has a tendency to invade other people's privacy, and use their secrets to work ruin against them. A warning about gossip.
Perhaps Max is our surfooted Hero

I'm behind. oh dear. i must catch UP.
also, gah. working is hard to go around everything.
So Max is being awesome?
I have a different view of the Page of Swords.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The page of swords is someone who is ready to try out new kinds of ideas and communications. They're very sure-footed, and fairly well prepared, though they can be flexible in case tehy meet something tehy aren't prepared for.
this game is getting me to start studying up on the cards by way of learnign them myself.

TGIF (meaning early happy hour) helped a LOT http://www.followthecards.com/global.html
fwiw the reasoning or just the good luck
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's just an example of Occam's razor and/or Minimum Msg Length . The letters that don't fit the overall pattern are the 4's: tolyzo. Since that's gibberish I tried a simple atbash (I was ready to bash something) for the word "global"

Annoyingly I did the same thing but didn't make the connection to the number 4
So we have:

Not much on the google front perhaps a second code.
