Favorite Entry/MH moment?
See if we can agree what's the best Entry or TTA

So yeah, more than likely another thread on this, if there is, apologies.

What is your favorite Entry or totheark video? Or what is your favorite moment in an Entry and why? Should be interesting

Entry #72 when Jay puts the camera on the window sill and you see TO in the field as well as when they go into the basement and find out its dark.

Out of all of the entries that one sticks in my head all the time.

The series finale. Because of all the hate and questions it caused on this forum.

Oh, lord, there are many from the first 72 entries and then from Entries #80 and #82 (Entries #74, #81, #83, and #84 seem divisive, so I won't touch 'em).

I think pretty much all of Entry #64 is my favorite "scene." I think it's one of the most flawlessly written, acted, directed, and edited. If I had to narrow that down, the part from
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
where Tim and Jay can't find the shack to where Jay has to abandon Tim to TO and bolts from the tunnel
.

Again, not one scene but almost--ALmost--like one beautiful, excruciatingly long take (even though there are obvious edits and breaks--I mean this more thematically--plus excellent acting by Tim and some of Troy's best too).

I'd say Entry #19 because it still manages to scare the hell out of me whenever I watch it.

Is that the one with Masky and that goddamn repeated jump scare? That is probably one of the only pieces of horror I've ever seen to use jump scares correctly.

Wow I completely forgot about how amazing and horrifying that one is. First time I got into the series I watched up until that one….. AND THEN decided to take a break. lol

65. Just saying.

52, 26, the TTA with Jay in the hall and TO right there after 19. Epic. 72, 64 too. 68, 67. 16 is intense as shit. 23. 51. 82. 80. So many. Mind exploding.

I've just rewatched that entry again, and the way they used the light of the sun going down is perfect.

The other perfect use of light in Marble Hornets--and this has been noted countless times and places on the boards before--is when someone goes through the tunnel or looks back at the other end, and there's a brilliant flare of sunlight that whites out everything beyond the opening. It only lasts a moment, and it's obviously the camera trying to adjust to the change in lighting. But it looks as if Jay and Tim, for example, are stepping into a place that exists between dimensions. The effect is used to perfection in Entries #64 and #82.

19 is the one where Jay goes to bed and then Masky suddenly appears in his room and then right in front of the camera, etc. 18 is the one where Masky debuts and charges him in the house. Both of those are sort of jump scares, so I'm not entirely sure which one you mean.

Anyway, entries 83 and 65 mainly, then 46 (though really everything from 44-47 was great), 72, 80, and 23. 52, 49, 33, 61 & 62, 37, and some others I'm forgetting are all honorable mentions.

Also there's the final moments in the tunnel in 64 (I don't know why, but Jay realizing that there's something beyond the tunnel that Alex doesn't want them to find was to me one of the most epic things in the series, and then that TO appearance was excellent).

I think that's the most epic TO appearance, actually. That and Entry #80.

OOG: Did they have TO on a track or something?

One of my favorite MH moments is the part in #33, where Jay is frantically shoveling tapes into his bag, and over his shoulder we see a hand wrap around the door and move it aside. I like that moment for two reasons: 1) because for just a few precious seconds we know what's coming and Jay has not a clue, and 2) because it's actually Masky showing a little personality. Think about it: he didn't just move the door; he very deliberately wrapped his hand around it one finger at a time. That little flourish served no purpose except making Jay shit his pants later, when he watched that tape. As Masky knew he would. I can just imagine the shit-eating grin he had when he saw #33 was posted Mr. Green .

The first one that comes to mind is Entry ######.

"We will wait for you no more. Control is being taken away from you. From the start, this has been a game for us. Not anymore. I'm coming for you, and you will lead me to the ark."

Game on!
