Final Entry has already happened. Apparently Alex killed Tim in their epic confrontation, none of which we get to see because Alex doesn't post shit to the MH channel.

The mindfuck. That would be awesome.

I can understand why that might seem appealing, but I think that would be too over-the-top an ending for MH. I think that everyone being a victim to some extent and at least Hoody and Alex going "mad" because of this horrible reality they've been a part of works better.

I think, I said... we won't know for sure for another few months, if it wraps up in the approximate timeframe that Troy said he'd wanted.

I kinda just want an infodump told dramatically like Bioshock Infinite's ending. Even though the lasting effect would be lessened.

Does anyone else suspect that Marble Hornets has already ended? They said the original ending was basically going to be Jay saying 'i'm going to find answers' and then nothing ever being heard from him again. That's similar to what's gone on in the last entry with Tim

Yeah, no. They'd sure piss a lot of people off that way. Plus they have said they are filming the next entry, but got delayed with the tornados in Alabama.

Tim will be the sole survivor. The end of the entry will give us the famous driving-with-text-overlay, one last time (for Jay). Tim will explain that he's going to leave the MH channel and all the videos up as a tribute to Jay, because it was so important to him to learn the truth, and share it with us. He'll go on to explain that he's leaving the state forever, and this will be the last time we hear from him. He'll thank us for sticking with him (and Jay) all this time. And then, just before the video ends, there will be a glitch. Nothing so obvious as a tape tear; this will be small and nondescript enough to be ambiguous as to whether it was The Operator, or an actual glitch with a mundane cause.

Ah, right about on schedule. Someone suggests this every few months or so.

They've said very specifically that they have no plan of doing any such thing (anymore). I believe their exact words were along the lines of "You'll know for sure when it's ended." And their original ending idea wasn't quite so ambiguous- it was going to end with him being chased down by TO while driving, I'm pretty sure, and it would be pretty obvious that TO had already gotten to him.

Bioshock Infinite's infodump worked out alright because of parts of it having been foreshadowed throughout the whole game, mind you.

I'd like the final Entry to be numerous, fragmented clips from Alex's perspective, detailing everything he's been up to for the past seven years while under The Operator's control. There should be clips of him walking through a darkly lit setting with the Operator appearing at various intervals, guiding him in the direction he needs to take to achieve his goal and then being suddenly ambushed by Tim.

The Operator clearly has no intention of killing Tim, otherwise he would have done so already, and Tim can stand up to the Operator directly and bare the full brunt of his presence as shown in Entry #72. It wouldn't be hard for him to subdue Alex and interrogate him for answers, unless he's too crazy and so deeply immersed in kill-mode that it's all he can do to maintain control of his fragile mind. Basically, I think Tim is both strong and clever enough to outmaneuver Alex and find a way to beat him down if he got angry enough.

I also wouldn't put it passed Tim to issue an open challenge and set up a location for them to meet up and have their final showdown. I don't know how I want the final conclusion to be, but I don't want no open-ended, ambiguous bullshit where Tim is driving off the his camera glitches. I've seen enough of those "you-think-you've-killed-the-villain-but-he's-actually-been-waiting-around-for-the-past--ten-years-stalking-your-marriage-and-is-right-there-under-your-bed-waiting-for-you-to-fall-asleep. Seriously, that's crap.

Alex is too fargone to be allowed to live, and as long as he does live, all he'll be doing is looking for Tim so he can kill him. Someone's gotta die for this story to reach a true conclusion. Frankly, after hearing about all those tornadoes in Alabama, I wouldn't imagine it being too hard to find a nice setting.

Whatever happens, someone has to survive to post the video.

There are ways around that, where it need not be any of those in the story so far: a third party finds an abandoned camera containing the last tape along with the login information for the MH YT account, and posts it with his own commentary. Something along the lines of, "After reviewing the videos already posted in this account, I don't want to be involved. At all. I want to be as far away from all this as possible. But something tells me that having come into possession of this tape, I can't avoid involvement no matter what. I might as well post it, so there's some record of what happened."

Whatever happens in detail, the minds of everyone: Alex, Tim, and Jay and Brian if they survived, are broken under The Operator's power.

And then, added to the end of the final tape, a clip of something the poor sod captured with his own phone one misty evening after watching all the MH material himself: a tall, slender, faceless figure in the distance...
