There were no special guests other than the Microsoft reps (two, I think) who set up and ran the Halo 2 competitions. They gave away a couple of copies of Halo 1, a few Xbox live memberships, and a voucher for the collector's edition of Halo 2 (but you can't get it until after 11/9).

I won one of the XBox Live 12 month memberships! I was also the guy who let them draw another number when I got called up again for winning something else. And I don't have an XBox so I'm giving away the membership too, in the SWAG Lottery. What can I say, the nice conclusion of ILB and this group has put me in a giving mood. Very Happy

kulpdogg: the phone video was of the Halo short film they played before showtime at 8:00. Not sure what that was about, but it was kinda funny. It showed characters shooting at each other and talking, then one of them came back as a ghost and was dissing the live characters.

I only wish I'd taken the day off and had more time to spend with the other beekeepers there. So since I came from out of town, I ended up getting there just before 8 when everyone was already seated in the theater, so no chance to meet and greet before, then when it was over I checked my watch and knew I had to go straight home if I was going to have any chance at meaningful sleep before work the next morning. But still a good experience in Austin.

That sounds kinda like the first season of Red vs. Blue to me. For those who haven't seen it, it's a series of comedy shorts (that add up to a serial story) made mainly from actors using Halo multiplayer. Yep, puppetry by Xbox.
