Before I post anything here...

I want to post my theory in this topic but it quite long. Do I have to make new topic about it or can I just put it here?

And I want to know can I put Fanfiction here? I don't know who to ask... Sad

Theory is ok if it's relating to this entry. Otherwise it goes in the general discussion thread.

Not many here are fans of fanfiction, so it's slightly frowned upon but not forbidden. I'd suggest uploading it to archive of our own or something similar, then posting a link to it in the general discussion or even off topic thread.

I guess I'll write it on Entry 84 because it mainly from it. But there's reference from THAC Alex Kralie trailer too. I'm so confused. Xc

Doesn't matter for me. I just need some place to write it. Then I could repost it after it finished. But how I can difference between General and Off Topics on index? I'm totally bad at this. *sigh*

Fanfiction isn't generally something featured in this specific forum. Like KTsteve said, your best bet is to post it on AO3.

@Serum: I don't really care about your disdain for the user Marble Hornets or whether you feel justified in it. Keep the threats and insults off the forum.

I just need a place to write it down. It has something to do with my theory and it can't be explained with just one topic. I have to make it into story.

His usual state. Personally, I find Serum more of a trouble than Henry. Just look at how bad he derailed this thread.

The end feels so close, yet it still feels like there's so much to explain...

I also can't help but feel there's more about Brian/Hoody we don't know that could be relevant. I mean, if he was just some maniac trying to cryptically help Jay and Tim find answers, who died from a fall and...that was that. It just doesn't feel right. He was Tim's only real friend, they worked together when Tim went "masky" to achieve...what? We still don't know exactly what The Ark is.

It's also probably just nothing, but I found Brian's answer of "it's just Brian" to what his full name is a bit bizarre...does he have a proper name? Was he bonkers even back then, just with good ability to socialise? He's also the one that encouraged Tim to get involved with Alex's project. It could have all just been his idea of fun though. I don't know. But ultimately I do find it hard to believe Brian's story stops there. Dead or alive there's got to be something more from his character.

Since we're all talking about Marble Hornets for some reason, I personally do not know or care why people hate him so much.

I did not make any threats. I gave advice, advice that would make this board a better place should Pravadohornets follow it, which he will not. I do not threaten people. I never made any threats. However, my opinions however have a right to be voiced, considering the nature of this board and Pravado's new username.

Every one of you needs new kneepads, because it's painfully obvious you live to give Marblepravado pleasure on your knees. You're all like housewives in the 1950s, letting a man have his way with you and then letting him beating the crap out of you and making him a turkey sandwich for doing so because you feel like you deserved it.

Let's just not pretend like we're not the victims, here.

A fine point you make, and one that calls memories to my weathered mind of a tremendous injustice dealt against the innocent so far in the distant path. A mere 11 years ago, you see, I was a bright-eyed idealist embarking into my first-ever forum - Dragon Warrior Monsters United, they called it - when our jovial discussion was suddenly interrupted by disagreeable lout - EvilHomer was his name. Several of our threads would he sully with such lamentable derisions as "wow you guys are stupid" and "lol don't care."

Ah, we quickly deemed this vagabond a pariah of the lowest order - His vitriolic mockery burned a man to the very fibres of his soul and was indisputably as serious as bullying or domestic abuse. So we responded in kind, meting him measure-for-measure in the bloody godforsaken field of arranging letters on an LCD screen into such vile maledictions as "kill yourself" or "you have no life." Nothing was sacred.

Eventually, the moderator Jimeous descended from on high and told us he held no regard for either sides of our squabbling. "What, ho!" We said. "Surely this man's neutrality will do nothing to abet the atrocities being sown before his very eyes!" But he would have none of it, this modern-day Sweden on our forumnial field of World War 2, and so we left, dejected.

Eventually realizing that no higher power could resolve the venomous conflict we had embroiled ourselves in, one brave soldier named GoragoGirl founded her own forum, a lawless battleground free of those who would seek to control our righteous crusade, where we could collectively disembowel EvilHomer with the same razor-sharp blades he tormented us with earlier. And so we did; and lo, it was a vile, bitter time, almost 30 days of unholy curses such as "F*** off, no one likes you," and "you're absolutely worthless." Truly, we thought, this would burn this Lecteresque monstrosity to his very core.

Yet today, that same message board lies barren, after a torturous two months reduced to mere scrap of dust in the vast merciless abyss known as the internet. Why? - Some ask. Perhaps it was true that our squabbling served no greater purpose than to provide a battleground for our egos, inflated by the novelty and false sense of brotherhood that always runs tandem with discovering the glorious internet and its many forums for the first time.

Actually, I think it was because we all eventually grew out of being 13 - 15 years old. Anyway, kind of forgot the point I was trying to make here.

Wow, that sounds pretty awesome. But like you said, I don't know what the point of the post was.

Back on topic: Holy crap, they actually lit the porch on fire.

Yeah I'm also amazed that they pulled that off. Anyone know how?

I think they probably used a special effects flammable, there's this kind (I forget what it's called.) that lights quickly, burns intensely, but also very briefly before going out completely. Typically when you see a house 'explode' in a movie or someone getting lit on fire on camera, they've been doused with this fluid.

That would be consistent with what we see - the way the flame propagates looks to me like what happens when you have a spill of a very volatile chemical - it's actually the vapour that's burning rather than the liquid. (Depending on what fuel they used, the vapour could stay close to the ground due to being heavier than air).

One thing they could do is absolutely soak the porch in water before pouring on the volatile fuel; the flammable fuel and fumes would sit on top of the water and burn, but the water would be a barrier between the flame and the porch itself. Probably they also had crew with fire extinguishers ready to jump in and extinguish the flames as soon as Tim turned away (they might even have dubbed in the audio as Tim flees in order to cover up the sound of the extinguishers).
