I was just thinking... Does Morphsuit have permission from Victor Surge (Eric Knudsen) to make these suits? Because except for the MH guys (who were part of the original Something Awful thread and really took the Slenderman myth and made something all their own that was inspired by it) and I think a couple of other early vloggers, he's steadfastly opposed to anyone making money off Slenderman without authorization.

If they didn't get Trosephim's permission, then I'd assume they didn't get Victor Surge's either.

Not necessarily true. It's possible that they went through the proper legal procedure with Surge to get permission to make the TSM costume, and then someone else in charge of the promotion side of things went and did something stupid in the images picked. In other words, the people who would get the legal permission for the costume itself aren't necessarily the people directly in charge of the images being used to advertise it.

Anyone notice that Morph suits joined twitter the same time MarbleHornets started? Coincidence? I think not!

I think it is. Funny how if someone comments on the morphsuit page asking if they ripped of super fan suits they get super-defensive....but if someone else has solid evidence of a third's party work being used involuntarily by morphsuits nothing surfaces, not even a peep.

My problem with MH's work been shown is giving the customer the impression that the morphsuit will look anything like MH's rig. It's false advertising. The morphsuit looks dreadful and cannot be made to look good in any shape or form. I swear to god if I see one unseasoned series popping up with someone using that morphsuit as a legitimate costume I will quit my blog and delete any forum account I have linked with the slenderverse. Jesus.

Agreed. Some of those slendermen are not so slender. (Or tall.)

Who's making a point against THAC? Victor Surge gave the MH guys blessing long ago, and they have credited him throughout the series run. What the Morphsuit fuckers are doing is outright theft. And, yes, to whoever asked the question earlier, MH is copyrighted.

I wasn't aware of that as Victor Surge isn't very vocal. But I know that they credit him and have always been respectful of that. I could kind of see how this came about though, MH started out a work of creativity and it became something they could sell, not that it isn't still about the creativity but they just found a way to make a living out of it. Morphsuits was always a business and found a neish they could exploit as they noticed many people use beige morphsuits as a base for Slenderman costumes. That probably assumed that MH was going to remain a small webseries and not become bigger and profitable. Guess they guessed wrong, but what's going to stop then trying the same stunt with EMH, TT or DH?

Hopefully a strategically timed lawsuit.

EDIT: If they want to start another Kickstarter for the Prosecute Morphsuits into the ground, I'd happily contribute.

Episode 11 of the posdcast is now on the podcast feed. Don't yet see it on the Soundcloud page.

They mention, at the start, that they'll be holding off on posting Entry #86 for a while, due to a certain news story. They later mention that they're still filming 86, and they are mostly done with it, as of yesterday (Tuesday, 3 June).
