No, I was only half-joking. Not a car chase in the action movie sense, but maybe something like that scrapped idea for an ending they mentioned from when it was going to end with S1 could be used to kick off the climax, with TO cutting of the car at every turn.

The next entry isn't going to be filler lol They even said it was going to be a "doozy" and there is too little time left for that anyway. I feel like the whole filler thing is just people how can't deal without constant action and explosions and all that stupid shit.

Have to agree. More than a little of what seemed like "filler" when the series was ongoing will no doubt demonstrate to have some relevance once the series wraps up.

People haven't retired that straw man yet? Yeah, okay, Brian's audition tape totally had relevance beyond "oh, look, he's wearing the hoody." Literally every second of those 9 1/2 minutes were absolutely crucial. Anyone who says otherwise just watches this series for the explosions, which of course happen with enough frequency to sustain a significant portion of the audience.

I don't know about that, while I love some exploring entries and tension building with finding tapes and learning things, there were one or two entries that could have been cut almost entirely. I don't consider anything outside of fighting filler, on the contrary I'd sooner push action into that folder as fighting doesn't provide answers.

People don't respect the filler thing because all is exemplifies in impatience. The series is meant to be watched all it once, and this is pretty clear I think to someone who marathoned the first and/or second seasons. It all comes together very well. Sometimes there are big moments, sometimes there are important moments, and sometimes, there's little moments that seed things in the narrative and build tension for them to become important later. And yes, sometimes that small moment is in a video with some other stuff that isn't important. But that's because it's found footage, if Jay/Tim found a tape that was just Brian's Hoody for 2 seconds and then something about Tim and then distortion, it just wouldn't be as realistic. Honestly, it wouldn't work as well, or be as good in general suspense wise. That's the thing, it can't be important shit every second or it loses its whole atmospheric premise.

The reason it doesn't get you respect to say that, is once the series is over, none of it will matter because you'll be able to watch everything. If you think the general pacing when you marathon it is awkward, fine, but whenever the past two seasons have been marathoned retrospectively, they seem absolutely brilliant, so people just can't take it seriously. This is a piece of, really low budget, but still genuine art. If it takes two weeks for them to make it just slightly better with an in-between video, and that makes the overall product better, then it just seems juvenile to complain about it.

Because like I say, I understand the entry time waits are annoying and all, but shit the series is gonna be over soon, why is everyone in such a rush? But if you really wanna complain, don't say "It's filler." Filler is like, a criticism of an overall product when people outside the forum use it. What it actually means is there's this big part of it that was put there at the time due to time constraints, and now the final product would be better without it because the creators were only looking at things short term. And now it's shitty. What we mean is, "We want the next entry to come and for shit to happen and it's not happening fast enough, but we want a more valid reason to complain than that, so we've come up with something."

It did. It contained, presumably, the first instance of the Operator's appearance, confirmed that Tim was the root cause, and demonstrated the dynamic of the friendships between Alex and Brian, and Brian and Tim. It also showed us what Tim was like at that point in time, when everything started. Multiple pieces of information were conveyed through that entry, all of which are indisputably relevant given the elements of the story that have been important thus far, from the mystery to the character development to the interpersonal relationships between the characters.

Has there been confirmation that there was an Operator sighting there? I never saw anything other than Alex filming his street at night, none of the blurs seemed slenderific enough. But if someone's got a screenshot that is legitimately Operator-tastic, fire away.
