Shame we probably won't see any of the Marble Hornets regulars in the new series, although it would probably cut the tension a bit if they did.
Sure same cast and universe just make it a sitcom.
Alex are you trying to kill everyone again?

So when do you think we'll get more info of this new series?

I think they will let the dust settle a bit, just to allow their audience to deattach themselves from Marble Hornets and get ready for the new thing.
Although, it would be nice if they tweeted a cryptic image from the new series a day or so after the Marble Hornets finale

So, since Troy kinda looks like he's done with anything Slenderman related, does anyone think they're done with the supernatural genre and will move on to more realistic scenarios?

Well to be fair, just because hes done with the operator, it doesn't mean supernatural is 100% ruled out.
It could be a ghost story, a supernatural occult story or anything. Though "otherworldly creature stalking our shit" is something they already played with tbh.
I'd say some kind of murderer would be a probable bet. Maybe trying to achieve something with this spree, like Dr Frankenstein.
Speaking of which, I can't be the only one who could imagine Joseph as Dr Frankenstein while having Tim as Igor. Troy wouldn't fit the monster though sadly.

I would love something more realistic and the supernatural element coming through the writing and filming style.

I agree that I would like more diversity in their next series; I know it was partly dictated by oog circumstances but in particular the female characters felt pretty under utilized in mh.
I think I'd prefer if they did something supernatural again. I don't really know if something more mundane would hold my interest. But who knows

At this point, they're going to do what they're going to do, but I might as well state anyway that they could have the locations themselves be supernatural, since they pretty much reduced the Operator to the corporealization of Rosswood's hatred for film students. I'm actually quite fond of the Eldritch Location Trope.

They're probably going to announce it via the Marble Hornets channel which is why they said not to unsubscribe yet

I LOL'ed. And I too would love to see the eldritch location trope reused and expanded. Frankly, I'd like to see some more (Southern) Gothicky elements. MH had some (the old hospital and the decaying town), but root the damn thing in your region and be proud of it.

Something else just occurred to me. If their next series is straight fiction, and avoids the found footage trope, they could have a music score. Some of the audio distortion almost sounded like music; I'd really like to see what they could do with the real thing. And since Joseph at least has a strong music background...

Yeah, a musical score could be fun. In general, not being found footage would give it the ability to have a stronger structure in some places.
