 		In any case, there is still at least one other person out there. If Alex was telling Tim to kill the Operator, there'd be no need for Tim to kill himself afterward to stop the spread if he's already taken down the problem.

Yes, he refers to it as a "small role", but has Tim audition for the role of the main character's best friend before casting him in that role.

Plus, Alex had no way of knowing the one that remains (if any) is a male or a female

Hopefully someone can. Would be nice if the THAC boys would post a transcript. On the plus side: Good acting by Joseph to pull off a dying, depleted Alex. On the negative side: Much of what he said is a labored whisper and a slur. I wonder whether it can be identified for sure.


Yeah, the editing & acting were both superb in this, but ironically, due to the nature of the scenes, you can barely understand half* of it!

Rewatching the audition tape, Alex had Tim read for the part of the protagonist's best friend. Like I said, that isn't a small part, I don't think. As for it being too late to introduce someone, I don't really agree with that either, depending on how it's done. The series has been full of abrupt changes like that. Hmmm....I don't think it breaks canon at all and Alex rewriting the script to accomodate for Tim, I believe is meant to be symbolic of Tim coming into his, Jay, Brian, Jessica, Sarah and Seth's lives and changing the trajectory of their lives. Films do change while being in development and I think it's a bittersweet swipe at Alex, the pretenious film student who didn't really know what he was doing, who probably rewrote the entire script in a flash of sudden 'inspiration' and, as with the rest of the entry, a firm contrast between who he was and what he is now - a manipulative cunning determined killer.

I don't know if Alex was "cunning." I guess that fits his trap for Jay (assuming that the tape sent in Entry #26 was meant to hook Jay and draw him in). I don't know about the rest. Laying low on the margins, which he must have done since at least Entry #52, doesn't necessarily take cunning. What he did seem was resigned to TO as part of his fate, and really as part of the background, until everything was taken care of and the spread of the TO contagion was contained.

 		I think if this was the final entry they'd have said so already. I don't think they'd keep radio-silence then later say "Oh by the way, that was the end". In any case, like I said, Alex was obviously telling Tim to kill someone else, and it wasn't Operator because there'd be no reason for Tim to kill himself afterward to stop the spread. And Alex would know it was male presumably because he'd know who was involved with his movie, especially if there was only one other person who was exposed that he hadn't iced yet. And I still say it was whoever he cast for "one of the smaller roles", which would explain why Alex maybe forgot about him until Tim mentioned it.

I'm just hoping for anything to chew on related to the entry. We've all spent 22 pages saying roughly the same four or five things back and forth to each other, lol, so hopefully something will be in there to take the conversation to another place definitively (more or less)

 		One thing we can all agree on after seeing that initial audition tape is that Alex would have lived out his life without ever knowing this misery if he hadn't have tried to produce a mediocre movie.
