Remind me not to check in here until the next entry is out that way I don't have to see you all arguing about the """"ending""""

If Tim didn't know his connection to Jessica until after he met Jay or saw his youtube channel, how did he know to lie about Jay before meeting him/finding his channel?

He didn't lie before then. He wouldn't have had to.

That's completely wrong. When Jay saw the tape he did understand why Tim kept it from him, it wasn't until TO twisted his mind that he became so stubborn. Jay wanted to quit at the end of season one but got dragged back into it by Alex, whoever burned his apartment, and TTA.

In general, what I said about Jay was true, which is the information Tim was working with when he made his decisions.

Tim and Alex were very complex characters. Jessica wasn't just some cute chick to be saved (or to be failed) by some dude. Flashes of Brian's personality shone thorugh (Entry #7, Entry #51, Entry #54). Even Jay was covering over a lot of tension and I think clinical depression with OCD symptoms (this is something I know something about). I agree with anyone who says that Trosephim have to refine their storytelling, because they're still inconsistent, but they've told us a lot with their minimalist and somewhat expressionistic style. Give it some time and watch it through once you've digested. Then shit out your old rage, and you'll likely see a better developed series and better developed characterization than you'd originally thought.

You're quoting my post, but I don't think you're responding to me. I agree with you about that.

I was quoting you to refute the guy who was trying to refute you. Sorry about not being clear. But I think the characterization is wicked strong in MH. The THAC boys just need to refine their skillz. I'm anticipating their next series to be even better, because they'll have one series under their belts, and they'll know what NOT to do.

EDIT: And, actually, either bipolar disorder or clinical depression could account for a lot of Jay's purportedly derpy persistence in doggedly pursuing things he knows he shouldn't. OCD can contribute to what I'm seeing as a lot of conflicting emotions about what he's doing and why. It can dull you and make you seem at least forty IQ points lower than you are. (Again, experience here--OCD is hell, especially the C.)

At least now we know what Alex was saying at the end of Entry 86: "This isn't over, you've seen how it spreads. If she's still alive, you have to cough at her, then drive to the end of a forked road, and spin the camera."

How did he see it all coming so clearly...

a: Tim killed Jessica and killed himself after uploading the video per Alex's warning
b: Tim is living out a miserable life to "contain" the Operator
Either way, The Operator is still stalking Tim, and we still have no idea why it followed him his whole life.

I think they intentionally made this entry to make both of these equally likely so we will never know and will have to base our answer on our opinion of Tim

I KNEW IT. I FUCKING KNEW THAT TIM WAS HIDING SOMETHING IN THAT BAG. I DIDNT KNOW IT WOULD BE HIS MASK.

Before any of you try and tell me it was the Jessica Tape, it couldn't have been because this was when they travelled all the way back to Alex's old area. This is when Hoody was able to reveal the tape all the way back in Tim's house.

Reading this reminded me of something...

"The twins." ...are Masky/Tim?

"Who are the liars"
"Are you one of them?"
"Are you both of them?"

-Conversion

Meanwhile, it shows that scene in Entry 72 where Tim is at the trunk of his car and tells Jay "no top pocket, top pocket."

Oh crap. The secrets. Zee are real and solved.

Back to solving Null!

Wait...what? So why would he tell her anything about Jay at all then?

Sorry if I'm coming off daft, I'm just trying to understand your scenario better.

- Posted on the 5 year anniversary of 'Introduction'.
- Footage of scenery while driving.
- Tim 'leaving' in one sense or another, either way clearly not planning on posting footage anymore.
- The sparse statement that 'Everything is fine' has a lot of finality to it.

It may be a red herring, but I feel this is indeed the end.

"The Spirit of Christmas"?

"Joined today"?

"Kilroy"?

Joseph?

Ugh.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
So basically the ending to Marble Hornets is a bunch of filler, oh hey Jessica is mysteriously alive but we don't tell you why, and Tim drives off into the sunset. Are we being punk'd here? I am hoping, REALLY hoping this was filmed in the past but the text at the end of the video seems to say otherwise. Guess they just ran out of steam, but I'm very sad to see the first big series pull a LOST finale.

If anything, try to infer it from the already given information. Not everything has to be spoonfed to you.

And let the acrobatics to shower the creators with empty praise begin.

Seriously. It's not "spoonfeeding" to provide some basic fucking answers. Your nose is so brown with your "deep thinking" it makes me wanna puke.

Well if that's the end it leaves me with at least one big question: What the heck is Amy's connection to this whole thing? Alex is dating Amy who happens to be from the same town Tim came from and both Amy and Jessica know Tim (perhaps separately) and that's all a big coincidence? I doubt it. There's something about the Amy/Alex/Tim/Jessica thing that doesn't ring true somehow. They all know each other too much for it be a coincidence.

I must remember to change Jessica's fate from "dead" to "unknown" in the next iteration of the timeline. Those sirens are chilling.

Alex and Tim went to school together. Tim and Jessica were friends (maybe more). Amy was Jessica's friend, Tim/Jessica introduced Alex to Amy.

Not very important except to get Alex to an important location.

The sirens at the end concern me... Did Tim attack Jessica?

I don't know.
Those sirens could be there because there was something else going on during filming. :/

Well before the footage cut to Tim driving at the end, I found this. Jessica is looking at something. The operator?

Possibly.
