There is no one who loves pain itself, who seeks after it and wants to have it, simply because it is pain.

Just a little observation but on the craigslist ad for San Francisco there's a contact name Lance Canhon and that's an anagram for none other than nonchalance. Not that we needed any other confirmation but I still thought it was interesting. I'm looking forward to hearing about what's at this new address!

You know you've been a bit too immersed in the narrative when your first response to seeing this ^ was "Ahhh! Crumbly Donut from Cardhouse!"

craigslist ad

Also the "Porpoises Love Eating Candied Apples" has the same letters "PLECA" as the phone mailbox "Pyramid Laser Energy Crystallize Atmosphere."

Has anyone been to the address in the SF craigslist ad? Thinking about going tomorrow to check it out.

Just getting into all of this after watching The Institute, and luckily enough, live in the Bay Area. Wish I had read this thread yesterday...the location in the ad is only about 10 minutes from my office.

I'm pretty familiar with the general area... I think it's only a couple blocks from where the Jejune Institute was - but there isn't an actual address listed on the Craigslist article... Perhaps there is general nonchalance to be observed in that area.

Personally, I would be a little surprised if this experience followed the same path as the last one... There may be reoccurring themes, and shared similarities, of course, but I am expecting much more....depth, and a lot more opportunity for each player to become the hero in the story.

I guess the bottom line is - who knows? Perhaps the simple act of checking out this area will lead to an unlocking of knowledge - please share with us, whatever you observe...

By the way, not sure if this helps but typing in https://thelatitude.com/robots.txt brings up some info.

This basically keeps search engines from crawling/indexing ANY of the pages on the site. Incognito mode.

I'm new to the forum, and forgive me if these have been addressed elsewhere.

I was inspired by the The Institute on Netflix to look into this, where "The Latitude Society" appeared after the end credits.

I found two potentially new things.

1.Random googling led me to this: Is this relevant? It is certainly strange.
https://sites.google.com/site/latitudesociety/home

Under "Languages" there are two very basic substitution ciphers, and under "Membership" there is a powerpoint doc involving a pyramid shaped hierarchy, code-names, and other fishy items.

2. It does not seem to have been addressed previously, but at thelatitude.com/login, after any text has been entered in the Password Reset Request, it returns with a presumptive ciphertext (attached)

I believe that is the "lorem ipsum sit dolor" placeholder text discussed above.
