Ok, I read through the first few pages, but geez it's twenty pages long and I got things to do with my wife, so somebody may have already said this.

Remember Tim? "No no. Top pocket. Top pocket." when Jay was putting the papers in the bag. Yes. The mask was in that bottom pocket. Very Happy

I put a theory up a few entries back that nobody paid much attention to, but I still think it's a bit valid.

Tim was indeed the source. TO started following him first as a child. He developed a masky personality in defense because he was unable to psychologically cope with the operator. The masky acted as his big brother that pushed against TO and successfully defended Tim from him. As Tim (Masky) grew more resistant over the years, TO needed somebody new, and the young, bright-eyed Alex was the perfect candidate. TO latches onto Alex, and Alex starts going crazy, though he doesn't develop another personality like Tim to cope. Instead TO convinces him that the only way to get it to stop is to kill people (which is what TO wants).

Meanwhile, Tim isn't dealing with TO so much anymore, but Masky is still around. Alex hits Brian over the head, and Brian starts to descend into a strange sort of madness. It's a madness with a purpose. The purpose? Stop Alex. Stop TO. To this end, he teams up with Masky, to do things like take Jessica, and cooperatively run the ToTheArk channel. As Jay said, the videos make it seem like it was more than one person. It was. Masky and Hoody. You'll notice the TTA videos get a bit more consistent after Tim teams up with Jay. That's because now Hoody is operating the channel solo.

Ok, so Tim starts getting better and isn't needing Masky as much anymore, as TO has latched onto Alex. But Hoody desperately wants a partner, and Masky is a much better candidate than Tim (which is why Hoody is always trying to get Tim into his Masky state by taking his pills and giving him his mask). He needs someone to help him do the things he needs/wants to do. Tim doesn't need Masky anymore though. As evidenced in the Entry where he stood against TO and resisted him. Tim is now completely able to fight without Masky. He can fight TO himself.

So yes...everything is fine. Jessica is alive. Smile Tim, though he may always be plagued by TO, will be able to resist. He's a fighter. He's survived so much. Nothing else in his life will be as traumatic or scarring as this. He can get through anything. Now, as seen by the crossroads sign, it's just a matter of where he chooses his life to take him. The worst is behind him.

Am I sad? Yes. It's over. Sad Am I satisfied? *shrug* how can I be satisfied with my favorite series ending? Could they have given more answers? Sure. I like being a detective though. (: I like looking for myself. Drawing my own conclusions? It's been a fun ride. I've loved watching each entry and then racing to these forums to see what 'the nerds' (it's what I call you guys...sorry Razz) have cooked up (with your frame by frame analyses Very Happy).

You guys have been great. You're all awesome. We're kinda family. Smile Slender Man isn't all bad. He brings people together. We are a prime example of that.
Cheers!

It didn't get up it's own ass with convoluted plots, ARGs, and nonsensical backstory (EMH)

Yeah, a complicated plot with audience participation would have been a total disaster.

EDIT: Wait, didn't Hoody drop the mask in front of Tim recently? "It was a different mask" hardly makes sense if we're arguing that Tim's mask has specific sentimental value.

Was Jessica's mind wiped again? She said she looked forward to meeting Jay, and was disappointed that he'd moved. That's odd and actually pretty tragic. Jay's raison d'etre was Jessica for most of the second and third seasons, but apparently for most of that time she had no idea who he was.

Hm yeah, I guess what bugs me really, while it makes sense that Tim hid her survival, and it fits with clues given... what did Tim tell her that got her to stay uninvolved? Just stay inside and go to this psychiatrist, the pills somehow block out the monster. Wear a hood or something when you're out so the crazy guy doesn't see you.

Or did he just say that everything was a hallucination, and the amnesia kicked off this mental illness. And then hoped that Jay and Alex wouldn't see her when she was out. Or did she rationalize it that way herself and went to the psychiatrist on her own, and that's how Tim found her?

Ugh, so little is revealed of how she survived and how Tim found her again. It wouldn't have been hard for Tim to have filmed some of it and edit it into this video so we knew. Like, show Tim meeting her then cut in with a flashback? I don't know why it's left ambiguous

Edit:
I'm latching onto something that probably doesn't matter but, it's one of the answers that Tim does actually have, and it still doesn't get explained.

Well Tim could have gone back for it specifically so he could symbolically throw it away. I think he dropped when they were at the school?

He probably just woke up with his mask next to him, it wouldn't be the first time

Yeah, I'd appreciate some kind of epilogue at least, even an OOG text post from the guys explaining some of the logistics and background details.

Although I was't discussing with you guys since I've been watching Marble Hornets, which I regret, I've decided to at least thank you for being here and explaining stuff now, at the end.

I am expecting at least an epilogue, though. There are still some questions left. I know that, if they explained everything, it wouldn't be good and it has to be some mystery left, and I like it, but at the same time... I don't.

For example, I think Tim lied about Jay's moving.
Don't mention this example. Jay is dead, of course.

Did you somehow miss the part where Jay was shot and died.

Sorry, my long-time memory sometimes just fails. Now I remember. Wink

If anybody's still got any doubt, remember this:
Quote:
Marble Hornets is going to have a third season.

It's going to be the LAST season, for real this time. I know we said about a year ago that this season would be the end, but halfway through shooting it, we began to realize that we'd greatly underestimated how much time we'd need to devote to explaining the lost seven months. There wasn't really much time left afterwards to return to the present and show the ending, not to mention that the whole story felt incredibly cramped that way. So we decided to take the ending and devote an entire season to it. That way we don't feel like we're cheapening it by rushing into it after spending so much time somewhere else.

And that's exactly what they did.

I don't feel fine with my favourite series ending.
And I don't feel the relief in the last entry, don't feel that "everything is fine".

I'm pretty sure that Amy (I mean Jessica) doesn't remember seeing TO. She probably doesn't remember Alex attacking her. If we are to believe Jay and Tim's eperience, when you are "taken" by TO, you don't remember the experience. When she's in the hotel she doesn't even remember where her home is. We will never know what Tim told Jessica about Jay.

Depending on her injuries, she may have been in a hospital for a while, or living with her parents, only returning to the area to go to the doctor.
Once Jay found Tim, there was no reason for him to go to that office anymore, except when Tim insisted he go... and since Tim was in contact with Jessica, he knew her schedule. There was little reason to think they would cross paths.

Alex wasn't actively looking for her anymore...probably thought she was dead, since she was "taken".

And Tim pretty much disparaged Jay from looking for her anymore...
