I'm in Austin. I called and emailed a couple days ago and am awaiting a response. I may soon go down to the location on the Craigslist map to see if there's anything to see, but it's a fairly major intersection so I'm not optimistic that there will be much there.

Ok I'm in

I watched the documentary. Sorry I didn't know about this while I went to Cal. I was there at the right time. Glad I get a chance to try this one out, albeit from Seattle.

Has anyone gone to the supposed block that was on the CL ad for SF? I was thinking about heading out there this weekend and snooping around. Anyone want to come with? PM me because it will be easier to canvas the area with more people.

That looks like a legitimate ad to me. (I could, of course, be wrong.)

New to this!

So this is my first time being involved in anything like this...

I watched the Institute recently on netflix (like many others in this forum) and decided to come looking for "the latitude society".

I caught it right away... and figured it may be something interesting. Just happens to be right when the craigs post went up. I tried cracking the site somehow... but came across the same strange pattern at the top of the screen. I did notice that it is in fact a direct substitution code and the symbols do directly like the the "lorem ipsum" at the top.

I do wonder if it could be linked to the google site as well.

I am near SF and would not mind checking it out sometime this week/weekend. If anyone else is up for it, I would be down. Called the number, and noticed the same PLECA pattern everyone else does... I wonder what is going on.

Just for my own info... how hard were the old Jajune puzzles. I want to make sure I am not over-thinking/analyzing. I do love a good puzzle ; )

Last quick question for the vets here. Is this the main forum that the people involved in the Jajune game interacted?

Looking forward to meeting some of you... hopefully this will be a fun chase : )

Honestly that doesn't look in-game to me, compared to the other ads for Austin, TX that I saw. The other ads were not as lengthy. Unless this is a new one, perhaps?

This is the ad from SF

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/act/4530643053.html

Anyone have any idea whats up with the "Iceland has arrived." part?

There is also this...

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/ats/4531830008.html

The first one is very different from the second. They are one day apart.

Has anyone emailed any of the ads and received a reply Question

Totally new to ARG's... I started playing, but does my location matter? I'm in socal, do you have to be in SF to really participate? May be a dumb question...

At this point it's unclear - it's a great question though... Worst case scenario, you can follow the developments, and maybe once things are in full swing, if elements are centralized here in the Bay Area, you can plan a weekend visit or something like that. Smile

I am extremely interested in the 'scope' of this game... All words/interviews seem to hint towards an experience that is MUCH larger than the Jejune Institute... which is insane, considering how much planning and detail was involved in all the little rabbit holes...

Also, I've seen SECRECY hyped a number of times... I wonder if this game/project might begin with different cells, and then ultimately join up? It's just a theory at this point, but an intriguing one (in my mind, anyway)

Hmm, so fun! I'll just keep following my leads then, and hope I can participate. I don't see why they would have made such a big deal with the movie release and screenings if it wasn't intended to be on a larger platform than just SF. Although, perhaps that what the gatekeepers are for?
