I don't follow any other slender series, but I've seen several videos from EMH and TribeTwelve. I saw HABIT a few times, and I have to agree with awakeasaurusrex. Just a bit over the top and ridiculous. There's too much unnecessary cursing in TribeTwelve as well, and both of the series lack subtlety. I'm glad Marble Hornets never crossed over with any of them.

Anyone already gotten over the grieving process yet?

It's been such a great time we all had together and I thank you all for it.

Shoutouts to Cyan507, Dhawk, gennerx, geneaux, lithp for all the contributions that changed my mind about most things and for helping me see things I couldn't. And for worthwhile insights that made my time here the best ever Smile

I think HABIT is a well-written and well-played villain. I'm particularly impressed that Evan (the actor who plays Evan) is able to do all of HABIT's long speeches complete with vocal range and body language all in one extended take like he does each time. It's a lot of material to get through without any cuts to break it up.

I can't get over HABIT's silly raspy voice, so I don't know where you're getting "vocal range" from.

Also, you don't know how many times they had to redo the takes.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean that Evan doesn't have chops. I think Jeff is the best of the three (and after Tim and maybe Brian, the best all-around actor in any of these series so far). Evan's very good, but I always get the sense that when playing HABIT he's channeling this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yP2OwiCmk88.

And now the end is here...

Surprised so many people didn't/still don't think it's over. Rolling Eyes

Loved every moment of the series. I am definitely buying the seasons on DVD in several months after saving my money up (got other stuff to buy first.)

I guess now all that remains of the Big Three is EMH and TT (Speaking of which, surprised to see the dislike of how Habit was written. He's probably my favorite Slenderverse character along with Hoody.)

I mean that he can go from condescending, to screaming, to balls out laughter. I should have said "emotional range".

My statement doesn't assume that they didn't have to do retakes. No matter how many times it took, it's still impressive to get through such a long take as well as he does.

Not very far into EMH, but I accidentally watched a late video out of sequence and saw some of HABIT in action. Personally, I liked what I saw. Remains to be seen if that was a fluke, but I thought the acting in the particular scene I saw was excellent.

I no longer recall which particular video it was, but I'm planning on watching the series soon since I have free time and no MH to kill it with, so I might get back to you on that.

Loved everything up to and including "Lexi". I'd felt that would have been a perfect place to end the series. Sort of how Seinfeld should have ended two years earlier, when George's and Jerry's situations had flipped.

I'm gonna miss Marble Hornets. I'm gonna miss waiting for updates from the MH twitter, or from Troy posting his "uninteresting, unspoilery screenshots" that he started at the end of season two.

I'm glad that, back in 2011, I started the Marble Operator podcast, because of Marble Hornets. I wanted to hear a podcast where the hosts discussed story theories for Marble Hornets, but could only find the Slender Nation podcast, which had ended, so I started my own. I've made a lot of friends on that podcast, and have even been able to interview Adam of TribeTwelve, and Chris of Dark Harvest. It's been fun doing that show, but now I'm wondering how much longer I can keep doing that podcast, since our main series has ended. We're doing a final discussion on MH tomorrow night, though. Ever since the move to Skype for the podcast, we've had a Skype chat room that all the hosts have access to, and that's how I've kept in contact with my friends and co-hosts there. Our chat room is called "The Loop of Unhappiness".

I even managed to meet the MH guys (Troy, Tim, Joseph, and Brian) at the Geek Media Expo in 2012. That was fun. I never have been able to interview them on Marble Operator.

MH has been a reliable constant in my life through all the rough times these past years. I've always been able to look forward to that next Entry, or be surprised by the next totheark video.

The MH discussions online that I've followed started on /x/, and ended up both here and on my podcast.

I remember the tweetpocalypse that led to "enttry 37". I remember Jay narrating his trip to the red tower back in season one, the trip we'd see in Entry 21.

I appreciate that Marble Hornets remained its own series, and didn't crossover with others. From what I've seen, EverymanHYBRID is the leader of crossovers. I've lost count of the number of series that EMH has interacted with.

It's been a fun journey. Over on Marble Operator, we're still discussing TribeTwelve, Dark Harvest, and Andersen Journals (and maybe picking up EverymanHYBRID soon), but there will be a void with MH ended.

Thanks for the memories, Marble Hornets.

I honestly stopped feeling invested in EMH once they went so far up their own ass with ARGs, all this extra history, and the iteration and HABIT nonsense. So many Slender Man vlogs are apparently incapable of keeping an enjoyable, simple plot with one mystery instead of thirty.

EMH was only good when it was about a bunch of guys who made dumb workout videos with a fake Slender Man in the background, only to piss off the real Slender Man. Everything else has been fucking awful to me.

Also, has it been officially confirmed to be over aside from panel speculation?

The iteration mythos isn't the problem. But HABIT as a compelling villain is weak as water.

No, just worded that incorrectly.

Troy says it himself in this video, and specifically mentions in the latest backer-only update on Kickstarter that MH is officially over.

Don't make us worried!

I don't like this thread anymore.
